TM CELEBRATES SORAKAN EMOSI EURO WITH A BANG AT HYPP.TV EURO VIEWING PARTY

20 ‘Compose Your Sorakan Emosi @ Hypp.tv’ contest winners honoured at a prize-giving ceremony in conjunction with EURO 2008

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) celebrated the Euro 2008 finals with a bang at Hypp.tv’s EURO viewing party at The Curve, Mutiara Damansara, which saw the final battle in a match between Germany and Spain together with its 20 ‘Compose Your Sorakan Emosi @ Hypp.tv’ contest winners and customers.

A prize-giving ceremony for TM’s ‘Compose Your Sorakan Emosi @ Hypp.tv’ contest winners was also held in conjunction with the EURO viewing party. The winners were chosen based on the highest number of votes for the ‘Declare Your Loyalty Sorakan Emosi’ composition. Five winners were selected per week, giving a total of 20 winners for the four-week long contest.
The four first place winners won RM300 in cash each, along with a Euro Jersey and a Euro / TM merchandise bag. The second place winners received RM200 in cash, as well as a Euro Jersey and a Euro / TM merchandise bag each. The third place winners took home RM150 each, along with a Euro / TM merchandise bag. The fourth and fifth place winners had consolation prizes of a Euro / TM merchandise bag each.

The perfect end to the best “Sorakan Emosi”!: Puan Zainab Hashim, Vice President of Integrated Marketing, TM, presents a prize to one of the twenty winners of the “Compose Your Sorakan Emosi Euro” contest held during the Euro 2008 tournament together with the BlueHyppo mascot.

According to Puan Zainab Hashim, Vice President, Integrated Marketing, TM, ”Hypp.tv received an overwhelming response in site traffic over the past four weeks as the tournament got underway and to date since the start of Euro 2008, Hypp.tv received over 10 million hits and 15 000 new Blue Hyppo members registered in June 2008 alone. In addition, over 22 000 viewers watched the Euro 2008 live matches via Hypp.tv. To top that off, the Hypp.tv website was visited by over 100 000 unique visitors during the Euro 2008 tournament.”

As the official online sponsor for Sorakan Emosi Euro, TM recently launched the first ever Hypp.TV’s Sorakan Emosi interactive billboard at Bintang Walk, Kuala Lumpur. The interactive billboard, which is the first in the country, was made available to football fans from June 6 - 29, 2008. Fans were able to show their support and express opinions on the world’s second largest international football competition by sending their SMSes, which then appeared on the billboard.

Pn. Zainab enthused “We received tremendous response from the Sorakan Emosi promos such as Hypp.TV’s Sorakan Emosi interactive billboard and are very pleased with the success of the campaign. We hope to venture into similar world football events such as the UEFA Euro 2008 to recognize and reward our customers who eat, sleep and breath football.”

Besides the prize giving ceremony, customers were also treated to fun-filled activities where the winners walked away with attractive prizes at the viewing party leading to the start of the final match at 2.45am on June 30th 2008. Among the activities organized were:

A special selection of European Superstars 2008 collector’s edition cards, which feature the iconic faces of the best footballers from Europe such as Thierry Henry, Dimitar Berbatov, Cesc Fabregas, Miroslav Klose, Christiano Ronaldo and Fernando Torres are on sale for all avid football fans to snap up.
