TM REWARDS TOP NETWORK VENDORS

Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) feted its partner vendors during its first Network Operation’s Vendor Awards Night held recently. The event was attended by over 850 guests from its nationwide partner vendors.

The gala dinner was a tribute to the exceptional service provided by the Network Operation vendors to TM customers and clients, as well to give due recognition to its partner vendors who have made a significant contribution to TM’s success over the past year.

Dato’ Zamzamzairani Mohd Isa, TM’s Group Chief Executive Officer, paid recognition to the vendors for their stellar performance and contribution to TM’s success in 2007 and handed out a range of awards for top performing companies and individuals.

“TM recorded a 44% increase in subscribers for TM’s broadband service in 2007. This phenomenal growth could not have been achieved without our committed network of partner vendors throughout the country providing outstanding services to our customers and clients in ensuring that they get the best possible experience with TM products and services. We cannot overstate the importance of the contribution made by our installer partners and the event today is to demonstrate our appreciation for their excellent performance “

Four categories of vendors were honoured at the Awards Night. The first is the Cash on Delivery (COD) contractors, who are in charge of installing telephony services. The second category is the Streamyx installers, who perform Streamyx installations. The third category is the Mini Jadual Kadar Harga (JKH) contractors, who are in charge of the maintenance for external access networks outside plant and last but not least, is ONETEAM, who supplies and maintains the various network elements of TM.

Regional and national winners were selected from each category of partner vendors. Overall, 70 vendors were recognized and honoured for their excellent service standards. At the dinner, Dato’ Zamzamzairani presented the awards to the national winners of each category.

Regional category award winners received commemorative plaques and certificates of appreciation from TM. The national winners received prizes, which included PDAs, notebooks, digital video cameras and holiday packages to destinations like Jakarta, Bali, and Bangkok.

In addition to the awards, guests were also treated to celebrity performances by home-grown act Sunburst and the Malaysian Queen of Rock herself, Ella. Lucky draws held at intermittent intervals throughout the night kept up the element of excitement, with some guests walking away with fantastic prizes sponsored by TM.

The Network Operation’s Awards Night was created to reward and recognize the high achievers as well as instill a healthy competitive spirit amongst TM partner vendors while encouraging higher levels of productivity and performance, which in turn translates to excellent customer service for TM subscribers. The awards presented were based on several criteria, which included overall performance, customer feedback, management practices, productivity levels, commitment, response time and communications.
