Adobe Updates Hosted Rich Media Platform

Adobe Scene7 4.0 Enhances Workflows for eCommerce and Multi-Channel Marketing

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA –August 8, 2008 - Adobe Systems Incorporated (Nasdaq:ADBE) today announced Scene7® 4.0, a major technology update to its hosted rich media platform designed for eCommerce and multi-channel marketing companies. Adobe® Scene7 technology is used by blue-chip companies worldwide such as QVC, Macy’s and Levi Strauss & Co. to drive online business through the delivery of high-impact images for eCommerce, Web sites, email and eCatalogs.

“Scene7 has become the platform of choice for a broad spectrum of companies who successfully engage their customers with rich media experiences,” said Doug Mack, vice president of consumer and hosted solutions at Adobe. “With this update we’re able to broaden our offerings to better support both start-up companies who have basic rich media requirements as well as large global organizations who trust Scene7 to make their products and brands stand out on the Web.”

New to Scene7 4.0 is an intuitive user interface, based on Adobe Flex®, that includes single and accordion pane viewing as well as drag and drop capabilities for improved creative productivity. This version has built-in tutorial resources, such as guides and videos for getting started, as well as visual highlights to assist both novice and power users. Also included is an extensive library of configurable rich media viewers, in multiple designs and styles.

Scene7 4.0 offers integrated building tools for each rich media asset type to streamline workflows and now supports assets created with Adobe Flash® CS3 Professional, Adobe Photoshop® CS3, Adobe InDesign® CS3, Adobe Illustrator® CS3 as well as other popular business file types. In addition, Scene7 4.0 includes new integration with Adobe Version Cue® CS3 to support Adobe Creative Suite® 3 users.

Availability
Scene7 4.0 will be available September 3, 2008 in English, French, German, Spanish and Japanese.

For Enterprise customers, two highly scalable editions will be offered — the Enterprise Unlimited Edition, which will include full dynamic imaging, eCatalogs, and the Scene7 Media Portal; and the Enterprise Edition, which will include full dynamic imaging and eCatalogs.

For small and medium size businesses, four options will be offered to meet more specific needs — the Small Business Dynamic Imaging Edition; the Small Business eCatalog Edition; the Small Business Media Portal Edition; or the Small Business Suite Edition which will include dynamic content sizing, zoom, eCatalog publishing and the Scene7 Media Portal.
