Kingston Technology Speeds up the World Cyber Games

Sponsors the Ultra-Speedy and High Performance HyperX Modules for Every Competition Computer

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – (August 12, 2008)—Kingston Technology, the world's largest independent memory module manufacturer, has announced its sponsorship of the Malaysia World Cyber Games (WCG) tournament, a massive global gaming extravaganza. At the same time, Kingston is attending the event onsite and end users can visit Kingston at Hall 2, Mid Valley Exhibition Centre in Kuala Lumpur, from August 15 to 17.

WCG is back with a bang and they have decided to kick start the event with activities like ACG Qualifiers, Auction Items Hour, Xtreme Battle, Band Jam Competition, SDO Cosplay Photoshoot and Gamers Street Fiesta. Kingston’s overclocking memory module, the HyperX DDR2 800MHz, will be provided in each competition computer at the Malaysia WCG.

“Speed is one of the most important factors in gaming. During competition a millisecond can mean the difference between winning and losing,” said Ann Bai, Memory Product Manager, APAC Region, Kingston. “Kingston’s HyperX memory modules provide ultra high speed and excellent performance that gamers need,” added Bai.

Over one million people will compete this year for the title of World Cyber Games 2008 national champions in their respective countries, making WCG the world’s largest video game tournaments. Beginning in 2000, the WCG is held annually and is the only single cyber game competition encompassing six continents. This year around 70 countries worldwide will compete in this global event which adopts the same Host City concept as the Olympic Games.

To stir up excitement for the WCG, every visitor can get a real good deal on Kingston’s products at Kingston’s booth during the event. Kingston is also giving freebies away to the attendees who fill out the questionnaires on HyperX.
Kingston memory comes with a lifetime warranty and free technical support.
