Canon Launches New Large-Format Inkjet Printers for High Volume Printers

imagePROGRAF iPF820 and imagePROGRAF iPF810 offers up to B0+ size printouts

KUALA LUMPUR, 22nd October 2008 – Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a global leader in photographic and digital imaging solutions, introduced it new large-format inkjet printer lineup of two new models capable of producing B0+ (44 inch wide) printout: the Canon imagePROGRAF iPF820 and imagePROGRAF iPF810.

The flagship model imagePROGRAF iPF820 is designed for CAD (Computer-Aided Design) and GIS (Geographic Information Systems) applications while the iPF810 satisfies a wide range of production printing demands, such as the high-volume printing of posters and notices. The two new Canon imagePROGRAF printers feature an accelerated print-head drive speed and fast-paper cutting function, enabling the high-speed printing of an A1-size print in approximately 25 seconds.

Also by reducing the amount of time required for paper feeding and paper ejection, the duo realizes an improved continuous-printing throughput rate, making possible the high-speed output of up to two A1-size prints per minute. Incorporating a high-capacity ink tank system that affords users the choice between 700ml or 330ml ink tanks that can be replaced while printing, and a large-capacity 80GB hard disk drive, the imagePROGRAF iPF820 and iPF810 printers facilitate high productivity to meet high-volume print needs.

The iPF820 enables double-roll paper feeding, allowing users to set and quickly switch between two rolls of varying size or type of paper in accordance with printing needs, or to set two rolls of the same type or size of paper to minimize the need for frequent paper replacement. The iPF820 also ships with a high capacity basket that ensures the smooth output of banner and high-volume printing jobs. The iPF810 can be equipped with an optional take-up unit for the efficient printing of high-volume banner-print tasks.
