DiGi's 1 Low Flat Rate, simply the Best Choice for MNP

KUALA LUMPUR, 16 October 2008: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd ("DiGi")believes that its 1 Low Flat Rate to all networks across prepaid, postpaidand business segments gives customers the best value and DiGi the edge overcompetition with Mobile Number Portability (MNP).

Johan Dennelind, CEO of DiGi said, "We were the first to introduce 1 LowFlat Rate, a winning proposition in an MNP environment, where you don't haveto worry about costs of calling other networks. DiGi is in a sweet spot andwill continue to be at the forefront in delivering value to customers."

Dennelind together with over 300 DiGi employees spent the afternoon gettingcustomers to switch to DiGi at a street carnival in Golden Triangle, KL.DiGi also has aggressive plans to paint the town yellow in other key urbancenters.

"We have always given customers relevant reasons to stay with us. Hence, MNPopens up the flood gates for number-sensitive customers to make the SmarterChoice for greater savings, better connection with friends and family, latest innovation, best rewards and to top it off, excellent customerexperience."

In addition to absorbing the porting fee, DiGi is offering prepaid consumerswho switch an automatic 365 days validity at no additional cost. Meanwhile, customers who port to DiGi's Postpaid will enjoy free activation without anyadvance payment needed.

DiGi is also making it easy for customers to switch. Customers are givenoptions to either go to DiGi's outlets across the country or do it onlinefrom the comfort of their homes. For the latter, customers need only tosubmit their requests at www.digi.com.my/switch and a SIM pack will bedelivered to their doorsteps for free.

Dennelind also explained that MNP comes at an opportune time for DiGi togrow out of its comfort prepaid zone and aggressively look at growing itspostpaid market.

"This is a natural progression for growth as DiGi matures. With less than20% of the postpaid market share, MNP allows us to further tap into thespace dominated by high usage users who care about their bill.

"MNP puts Malaysia on a par with advanced telecommunication nations. This isan industry milestone that is set to raise the bar on mobile userexperience. The race has begun and we are excited at the opportunity tobring the DiGi experience to more Malaysians. Welcome to DiGi!"
