D-Link named Top Taiwan Global Brands 2008 Winner

3-time winner is 7th most valuable brand in Taiwan

Malaysia, December 17, 2008 – D-Link Corporation, one of the world's biggest suppliers of network products, today announced that the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA) and Interbrand, the world's largest brand consultancy, has named D-Link as the 7th most valuable Taiwan global brand. With a brand value of nearly US$344 million, the network company has also improved in ranking compared to other networking companies who also made last year's list, gaining two places to become fourth most valuable brand.

"This is the third time in a row that we've been awarded this honour," said John Lee, Chairman, D-Link Corporation. "This is undoubtedly recognition of D-Link's continuous efforts in technological innovation, in order to bring the latest, most advanced and user-friendly products to our consumers. Since 1986, D-Link has been a networking they trust, and we will continue to be for many years to come."

Taiwan's top twenty global brands are selected according to the Interbrand methodology, which has been used to evaluate the world's 100 most valuable brands (published by BusinessWeek). The evaluation methodology combines financial analysis, the Role of Branding Index and the Brand Strength Score, providing a concrete indicator for Taiwan brands in the global market. The brand values are based on data collected during the twelve months prior to June 30, 2008.

According to TAITRA figures, Taiwan's top twenty brands are worth an estimated US$9.14 billion as of June 30, 2008, exceeding the US$9 billion mark for the first time.
