Be educated, get great deals, and go green with Intel Malaysia this PC Fair
Kuala Lumpur, December 5, 2008 – Throngs of people are expected to visit the final PC Fair of the year where the best deals for PCs and PC peripherals will be found and Intel Malaysia is bringing the fair to greater heights. Intel Malaysia is working with PIKOM for the first time to set up a consultation room for all PC Fair visitors in KL. Called the ‘PC Guru’, this initiative by Intel aims to provide advice to common PC users on which processor among the many available is best suited for their usage.
“Our range of processors has significantly expanded since the previous PC Fair in August. Despite the uncertain economic situation, we urge that consumers continue to spend prudently. Intel has a wide range of processors at various price points to suit different users,” said Ryaz Patel.
Through PC Guru, located at room 306 in KL Convention Centre, visitors will be able to interact with Intel officials to seek advice on what to look for in a computer when making a purchase. “We would love to help users choose the best processor for their daily usage, be it for work or play. We want users to stretch their ringgits and make informed decisions when they buy a PC. A good PC investment should last you well into the future,” Ryaz adds.
In continuing the excitement of the recently launched Intel® Core™ i7 processor, the fastest processor on the planet, Intel is offering a free 21.5-inch Samsung LCD screen monitor to the first 30 customers who buy an Intel Core i7 system. Additionally, consumers who choose to purchase any Intel® Core™2 Quad or Intel® Core™2 Duo system at selected retailers will be eligible to buy the same monitor at only RM499.00 under the purchase-with-purchase program.
Riding on Intel’s collaboration with MTV for the recently launched “It’s time to Switch” campaign, Intel will also have on-ground activities for all PC Fair visitors in Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Johor Bahru.
An MTV Switch contest will be held, beckoning all PC Fair visitors to give their most innovative energy-saving tip which can reinvent the way we live and save our earth. A notebook powered by Intel® Centrino® 2 processor technology will be awarded to the participant with the coolest and most innovative idea, as determined by Intel. Every participant will receive an environmental-friendly “This is not a plastic bag” bag.
“Intel has always had a long history and commitment to preserving our environment. Making energy-efficient products is an important consideration in everything Intel does,” ended Ryaz Patel, country manager of Intel Malaysia.
