3Com Appoints Regional Program Director for APR

KUALA LUMPUR – 28 April 2009 – 3Com Corporation, a leading provider of converged network infrastructure solutions, has announced the appointment of Murray Holzworth to the position of regional program director for 3Com Asia Pacific. In this role, Holzworth will be responsible for developing and implementing a program to increase 3Com’s market share in the region with a niche focus on 3Com’s channel and end-user communities.

Holzworth, who will be based in 3Com’s Brisbane office, will be responsible for reviewing the solutions that 3Com currently offers to its service providers. This will include marketing support for solution developments across key technology categories such as switching, routing, security and network management. Peter Chai, vice president and general manager of 3Com Asia Pacific, said: “Murray is a strong addition to the regional team and we are confident that his many years experience in business development and channel roles will add value to 3Com by focusing on innovative ways to fulfil our customers’ business needs.”

Holzworth has 20 years of experience in the IT industry and brings with him a great deal of knowledge and passion for systems integration. As a government specialist, Murray previously held the role of Queensland state manager at 3Com Australia in which he played an integral part in securing and managing the recent Department of Education, Training and the Arts (DETA) tender. Holzworth joined 3Com in 2004.

Prior to joining 3Com, Holzworth was a senior business development manager at CITEC where he led the company in securing key Queensland government contracts with Queensland Health and Education, amongst others. Holzworth has also held positions at Powerlan (now Datacom) and Coretech.
