PIKOM ICT Mall, newest PC Fair 2011 venue

PC Fair 2011 to be held at new venue, PIKOM ICT Mall at CapSquare, Kuala Lumpur, Nov 3 - 6, 2011

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2, 2011, KUALA LUMPUR – Hosting the third leg of year-end PC Fair 2011 at PIKOM ICT Mall CapSquare underlines aspirations by PIKOM, the National ICT Association of Malaysia, to position the Mall as a 'must visit, must shop' destination for digital lifestyle shoppers.

According PIKOM president Shaifubahrim Saleh, PC Fair is one of several activities to associate PIKOM ICT Mall as one of most vibrant consumer ICT malls in Malaysia. PC Fair 2011 KL CapSquare departs from the norm of three days for PC Fair. “PC Fair 2011 KL CapSquare will be held for four days, starting tomorrow November 3 to Sunday, November 6,” he said, adding the Fair opens 10.30am and ends 9pm.

The four-storey mall will host 30 booths and exhibitors addressing the needs of high-end and premium consumer ICT segment. The Fair will be held at Ground Level and Level One.

Exhibitors representing global consumer ICT brands like Acer, Asus, Canon, Digi, Edifier, Garmin, Hewlett-Packard, Nikon, Olympus, Panasonic, Papago, Sony and Tom Tom, more adds excitement and convenience for shoppers. “The exciting focus at PC Fair 2011 KL CapSquare is that shoppers get a variety of options on up market consumer ICT devices like ultrabooks, tablets, high performance desktop computers and peripherals, wireless broadband packages, media players, GPS products and Internet TV players.”

Several activities will be held to celebrate the occasion including PIKOM PC Fair 2011 Cash Voucher Draws. “Lucky shoppers will be rewarded with cash vouchers,” he said. More than RM5,000 worth of cash vouchers have been allocated for 16 cash voucher draw sessions, to take place at 2pm, 4pm, 6pm and 8pm. Shoppers with a minimum purchase of RM100 are eligible to take part.

He explained the vouchers will be in two denominations, RM 100 and RM50, and can be redeemed at any PIKOM member retail outlets at the Mall.

In addition, shoppers can also look forward to PC Fair 2011 Instant Redemption Program and stage activities. “Shoppers can enjoy instant redemptions and experience a festive celebratory mood at PC Fair 2011 KL CapSquare. We take this opportunity to wish all our Muslim friends and exhibitors, a joyous Hari Raya Haji Aidil Adha,” he said.

In the near future, he said the Fair at the Mall would be differentiated to address needs for premium and high-end consumer ICT devices. “We envision the Fair at the Mall to feature the next generation of thin high definition displays with embedded connectivity, digital home entertainment solutions, wearable technology, digital sportswear, Bluetooth-enabled appliances, Android-powered smartphones in rare metal or alloy casings and more.

Next month, the Mall will also host a pre-draw session for the grand prize of PC Fair 2011 Lucky Draw, a RM100,000 Mazda2 1.5 DN78 RAB (special edition) Hatch Back. “The lucky draw is part of PIKOM’s 25th Anniversary celebrations. It is fitting to host the pre-draw at the Mall as part of its presence building plan.

The Fair this week also includes four more locations; Pusat Dagangan Terengganu in Kuala Terengganu November 3 – 5 and Persada Johor International Convention Centre in Johor Bahru, Stadium Indera Mulia in Ipoh and Dewan Sri Mentakab in Mentakab November 4 – 6.

The fourth and fifth leg of the Fair will be held at Melaka International Trade Centre in Melaka November 11 – 13 and Youth and Sports Complex in Seremban November 25 – 27 correspondingly.

The Fair ends with its final leg December 2 – 4 at three locations; Batu Pahat Mall in Batu Pahat, Village Mall in Sg. Petani and KL Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur. - PIKOM
