Taipei, Taiwan (December 8, 2011) ― the ASUS In Search of Incredible campaign’s efforts to canvass the world for amazing tales has been a resounding success over the last couple of months, bringing in thousands of responses, all brimming with stories of immense human interest. Working with global talents such as singer-songwriter Jason Mraz, director Asif Kapadia, renowned photographer Don McCullin, and director Andy Morahan, ASUS has successfully encouraged many people to share their stories with the rest of the world. With voting ending today, the In Search of Incredible campaign proceeds to its final phase, where the winner will be announced, having been selected by online voting. That winner will go on to have their real life story conveyed via a short film, to be screened at the 2012 Sundance Film Festival, another result of close cooperation between ASUS and the media community. Each of the entries submitted to In Search of Incredible is a true gem, reinforcing the premise of the campaign ― to transcend tech specs and seek out the true driving force behind the spirit of incredible, which is invariably human. Through the power of social media, the campaign reached millions of people around the world, with contestants encouraging one another to share their life experiences.
Many of them are genuinely heartfelt, such as the story of Dan Hedlund, of Layton, Utah in the United States. Dan has been fighting cancer since 2007, and his steadfast dedication to life and experiencing every day to the fullest has touched people around the world. Despite initial expectations by doctors, Dan has been able to make progress towards recovery, and continues to live and love with the people in his life. His story brings encouragement and inspiration to all, and is indeed the spirit of incredible personified.

Many more stories and last chance to vote
Incredible stories have come in from all around the world, with fifteen chosen by popular vote to proceed to the next phase. These incredible stories have been sent in from countries as diverse as Singapore, Spain, Malaysia, Poland, Turkey, and more. They are all incredible in their own ways, showcasing the extent of human achievement and emotion.
The final voting phase closes today, but there is still time to take part by choosing a favorite story among the fifteen finalists. Voting will be followed by one of the stories selected as the campaign winner. Working with the global talents that have signed on to the campaign and with Sundance, ASUS will sponsor turning this incredible story into a short film, to be screened at the festival so it can be best shared with the world.
