ECS Introduces Technology Centre for Oracle Exadata Database Machine in Malaysia

ECS provides partners with technology facilities to help minimize risk and shorten deployment time of new business solutions

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, December 1, 2011 – Expanding its leadership in advanced technologies, leading ICT distribution hub ECS ICT Berhad (ECSB), today announced the official opening of its technology centre facility in Malaysia for Oracle Exadata Database Machine and a wide range of Oracle’s Sun servers and storage. Located in Kota Damansara, this new facility will provide systems integrators, independent software vendors (ISVs) and corporate end-users with the technology infrastructure for supporting product demonstrations and proof-of-concept development.

ECS Pericomp Sdn Bhd (ECS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of ECSB and a Platinum level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), will leverage its accumulated skills and experience in implementing Oracle solutions, to enable proof-of-concept tests based on Oracle Exadata Database Machine, the machine for high performance online transaction processing (OLTP), data warehousing and consolidation projects. The new Technology Centre is a useful sales, marketing and technical enablement resource for partners, their clients and prospects to experience Oracle Exadata Database Machine and related Oracle technologies in action. In addition, customers and partners can gain access to Oracle’s other award-winning technologies such as Oracle Solaris and Oracle’s SPARC and Sun Fire servers, as well as core competencies such as competitive analysis and best practices in technology deployment.

ECS’ Technology Centre will feature a range of Oracle’s hardware and software solutions, including: Oracle Exadata Database Machine, Oracle Linux, Oracle Solaris, Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle VM, Oracle’s SPARC and Sun Fire Servers, Oracle Business Intelligence Foundation and Oracle Fusion Middleware.
