Intel and Courts Malaysia collaborate to promote PC adoption

Flexible and affordable repayment scheme for PC purchase available at 35 Courts Malaysia stores nationwide as part of ongoing Intel Enter aje! campaign

Kuala Lumpur, Dec 22, 2011 – Intel Malaysia is collaborating with Courts Malaysia to accelerate PC adoption in the country, with Courts Malaysia extending its flexible and affordable repayment scheme to consumers for a selected range of Intel processor-based notebooks.

The repayment scheme for PC purchases offered by Courts Malaysia does not require any upfront downpayment and eligible customers can opt for a repayment period of up to 60 months at an interest rate of only 1.99 percent per month. In addition, customers only have to start making repayments beginning from the second month of the installment period.
A selected range of notebooks powered by Intel processors are offered under this scheme, with prices ranging from RM1,799 to RM2,299. This flexible and affordable repayment scheme is available at 35 Courts Malaysia stores nationwide (excluding Sarawak) and the offer is valid until 31 December 2011.

To be eligible for the Courts Malaysia PC purchase repayment scheme, applicants must be either a parent or a guardian of a school-going child. Supporting documents that are required include an NRIC, latest salary slip and EPF statement, plus any documents to establish that the child is still studying.
“Ensuring that children have access to technology has become an essential part of life for many Malaysian families. Hence, we believe that Courts Malaysia has an important role to play in enabling PC purchases to be flexible and affordable for as many households as possible. Our popular repayment scheme offers a compelling reason for every Malaysian household to own a PC,” said Goh Choon Gek, Courts Malaysia Merchandising Director.

This collaboration with Courts Malaysia underlines Intel Malaysia’s commitment to ensure that the objectives of the Enter aje! campaign is fulfilled, that is to reach out to as many Malaysians as possible and make PC ownership affordable.

“Through the ongoing Enter aje! campaign and with the support of Courts Malaysia, I am confident that Intel will be able to help realize the Malaysian government’s agenda to drive connectivity, increase awareness of ICT, and promote PC usage and its benefits amongst more Malaysians,” said Prakash Mallya, Country Manager, Sales and Marketing, Intel Malaysia.
