Intel, FTEC & Al-Tasneem Collaborate To Provide Digital Al-Quran For Kids

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept. 18, 2008 – In conjunction with the holy month of Ramadhan, Intel Electronics (M) Sdn Bhd and FTEC Resources Berhad today introduced the FTEC SmartBook that comes preloaded with the Digital Al-Quran software by Al-Tasneem Sdn Bhd. Learning and reciting Al-Quran can now be easy, fun and interactive. Parents who desire their kids to start young in gaining the knowledge of the Al-Quran will find this affordable all-in-one solution a great help. Not only is the FTEC SmartBook highly portable, it is also equipped with a water-resistant keyboard and capable of running many educational software.

The digital Al-Quran has audio recitations of the whole Al-Quran, full Al-Quran translations into Bahasa Malaysia, English and Arabic, as well as recorded Azan prayers by famous Mu’adzins from Saudi Arabia and Egypt. “Intel is delighted to be part of this meaningful collaboration because we see the importance of instilling the appreciation of Al-Quran especially among Muslim kids. Using the netbook as an access device will not only create interest in the Al-Quran among young children but also expose them to PC usage at a young age,” said Ryaz Patel, country manager, sales and marketing, Intel Malaysia.
