Malaysia, 27th April 2012 –The qualification matches of “GT5 Asia Online Tournament 2012 – Super GT Cup” were held with great success with a record of over ten thousand participants! The top six racers who completed the track with the shortest time from each region (Hong Kong, Korea, Taiwan, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Indonesia) have earned their tickets to the Regional final matches. The Regional Final in Malaysia is going to be held on 12th May, 2012 at Bangsar Village.
The winner will represent Thailand to enter into the Final Match to compete for the Asian championship! Besides the honorable trophy of the Super GT Cup, the winner will be entitled to a free trip to Tokyo in September, including a visit to the Tokyo Game, a special tour of PDI studio guided by GT5 producer Kazunori Yamauchi and a dinner with him.
Moreover, racers who ranked 2nd and 3rd place in each region in the regional matches will each receive a MYR780 and MYR390 PSN voucher respectively. All participants will also receive an exclusive DL car Nissan Calsonic IMPUL GT-R (SUPER GT) '08 (Only for racers who have obtained the gold trophy) .These gifts will be sent to entitled racers via email.
“GT Academy 2012”, Free Download Debuts in Asia on 2 May
For those who missed the opportunity to participate in the GT5 Asia Tournament 2012, and also for all PS3 users out there. From May 2nd(Wed), 2012, Gran Turismo® together with Nissan runs another round of online events as a free PSN down load content, under the legendary name and title of ‘GT Academy’!
A brand-new gaming format for the Asian GT Academy will go live on 2 May, 2012, made available for the first time in Asia. This will remain open until 25 June, and involves an eight-step qualification program, that can be played online by anyone with a PlayStation®3. The events are based on the best-selling Gran Turismo®5 title, but have been specially developed for this purpose by the game's legendary creator, Kazunori Yamauchi.
Now, all PS3™ users can download ‘GT Academy 2012’ free on PlayStation®Store.

Hence, the racer with the shortest completion time in the time attack will be the first one to pick a car, then the top 2 racer, etc. |
