Appear TV Demonstrate Solutions for Multiscreen and DVB-T/T2 at CommunicAsia 2012

June 18 2012 - Appear TV, a leading global provider of next-generation head-ends for broadcast and IP television, today announced that visitors to its CommunicAsia 2012 stand (1N3-07) will be able to see demonstrations of its new multiscreen & OTT solutions based on its leading modular head-end architecture, which includes Appear TV’s unique range of encoding and transcoding solutions.

CommunicAsia 2012 will also see Appear TV demonstrating its DVB-T/T2 end-to-end solutions that are generating such high levels of interest. Being designed in house removes the integration issues of the multi-vendor approach to DVB-T/T2 infrastructure. Appear TV provides all the elements of the DVB-T/T2 head end and transmitter distribution architecture in its high density chassis platforms. Together with its intuitive management interface, these highly modular solutions are very attractive from an operational point of view, allowing customers to maximize their choice of content sources, distribution backbone interface and functionality throughout the terrestrial broadcast network.

The Appear TV DVB-T/T2 terrestrial solutions demonstrated at CommunicAsia2012 includes the following functionality:

· SFN/MFN capability with Multiple PLP support for regional program insertion
· Advanced T/T2 modulation, with two fully agile carriers per module
· MIP Insertion for DVB-T and SFN T2 gateway modules which support T2MI insertion.
· Options for DVB-T/T2 demodulators & SFN synchronization by GPS or 10pps clock.
