Kingston Technology Hosts HyperX 10-Year Anniversary StarCraft II Tournament

• StarCraft II Gamers Compete to Become First-ever HyperX Champion

Hsinchu, Taiwan – September 18, 2012－  Kingston, the independent world leader in memory products, today announced it will host a free online StarCraft II tournament in honor of the 10-year anniversary of the HyperX product line. Since 2002, Kingston HyperX products have been the memory of choice for gamers, computer enthusiasts, overclockers and system builders. The tournament is a chance for Kingston to say thank you and host an event that gives back to its customers and fans.

Gamers from around the world will compete online with the goal of qualifying for the live finals in Las Vegas, NV. during International CES 2013 in January. In addition, eight invited pro gamers will be seeded into the top sixteen,  and will battle it out to win one of four cash prizes totaling $15,000 and become the first-ever HyperX Champion.

 “We have supported the gaming industry throughout the 10 years HyperX has been around and they have supported us,” said Scott Chen, Vice-President of APAC region, Kingston. “We wanted to create a fun event that would enable us to give back to our fans and loyal customers. This is a great opportunity for them to enjoy competing against each other and win some great prizes.”

The tournament registration is open to anyone; it starts on September 17, 2012 and closes September 27, 2012. There is no purchase necessary to enter. The online competition will be held on October 1 through November 30, 2012. The live final will be held on January 7 and 8 during International CES 2013. The first place winner and HyperX Champion will receive $7,000 USD, second place wins $4,500 USD, third place wins $2,500 and fourth place wins $1,000 USD.

金士顿“骇客神条十周年星际争霸赛”隆重举行

（2012年9月18日北京讯）全球第一大独立内存模组制造商——金士顿，今日隆重宣布，为庆祝骇客神条（HyperX）产品诞生十周年，并对广大用户表示感谢，将举办一场总奖金高达15000美元的《星际争霸2》在线游戏比赛。自从2002年金士顿推出骇客神条以来，该系列产品一直都是游戏玩家、电脑爱好者、超频发烧友以及系统集成商的首选。

来自世界各地的玩家们将通过网络进行报名和初赛，然后在2013年初的CES大展期间，于美国内华达州的拉斯维加斯进行决赛。值得一提的是，排名前8位的玩家，将与作为种子选手的另外8位职业玩家一起成为16强，并最终决出首位骇客神条冠军。

本届比赛欢迎任何玩家报名，报名时间为即日起至2012年9月27日（太平洋标准时间，下同），且无需任何报名费用。网上预赛时间为2012年10月1日～11月30日，现场决赛时间为2013年1月6日及7日（CES2013展会期间）。骇客神条总冠军将获得7000美元的奖金，第二名、第三名和第四名将各获得4500美元、2500美元和1000美元的奖金。
