MyIX’s New Logo Exemplifies Corporate Visual Identity


Designed for the current digital era, MyIX’s new logo illustrates the Malaysia national exchange’s value proposition to domestic market and local ISPs 

KUALA LUMPUR, September 18, 2012 – Malaysia’s sole neutral Internet Exchange operator, MyIX – also known as ‘Persatuan Pengendali Internet Malaysia’, today rolled out its new visual identity that includes an updated logo. The new identity symbolizes the role of the national exchange in driving for significant Internet and broadband growth in the domestic market, as well as for local Internet Service Provider (ISP) in the country.

The new company logo is inspired from the rotational form of modern Origami and symbolizes the strong unity that MyIX endeavours for and with its members.

The crimson-coloured logo is also designed to reflect the company’s strong intent as playing the crucial, central and leading role in the advocate for satisfactory delivery of top-value services and quality connectivity for its members.

The logo is in the form of a prominent red star that reflects the elements of stability and reliability. According to presiding MyIX Chairman Chiew Kok Hin, the new logo represents the new energy, commitment and aspirations of MyIX’s shared vision between its members and their customers through the representation of the four different gradient triangles perfectly incorporated within the logo.

“MyIX is at a stage where we can claim a significant contribution towards Malaysia having Internet connectivity that is of world-class level. We will continue to invest and manage the best technologies to ensure that our local ISPs who are MyIX members are able to enjoy the benefits of cost-efficient connectivity everywhere,” says Chiew.

He adds, “In today’s fully connected world, MyIX’s red star will stand out for continued confidence and trust.”

“The new logo signals MyIX’s vision to bring together all the ISPs in Malaysia to provide better connectivity to the people of Malaysia, hence playing a vital role in being the critical enablers of confidence in a truly connected world.”

The previous logo was created in 2006 and until today, MyIX has expanded its services and managed to touch a member base of 51 this month.
