Malaysian businesses can now achieve new levels of productivity with higher broadband speeds and IPTV with UniFi
UniFi, the next generation high speed broadband service from Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) is poised to bring Malaysian SMEs further up the value chain with affordable and enhanced connectivity. With this in mind, TM proudly introduces higher speeds of UniFi (30Mbps and 50Mbps) and also the availability of Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) as part of its UniFi for Business (UniFi BIZ) packages.
The new packages of UniFi BIZ - BIZ30 and BIZ50 - come with a host of complimentary products and services:

Commenting on the new offerings, Azizi A Hadi, Executive Vice President SME, TM, shared, “With this new enhancement, SMEs will be able to maximise the use of next-generation online applications and services via TM’s high-speed broadband network at affordable price - providing them with a quantum leap in terms of enhanced efficiency and productivity, expanded sales and marketing channels with lower hardware and software investment.”

With UniFi BIZ, subscribers will enjoy unlimited data with no usage capping at the moment and also the lowest call rates for businesses in Malaysia – at a flat rate of 3 sen/minute to all TM fixed lines nationwide and 12 sen/minute to all mobiles and other fixed line operators.
Also available as part of the packages, SMEs can now enjoy TM’s IPTV service - HyppTV -making it a triple-play offering, a feature previously only made available to its residential packages. TM has made available 51 channels, 3 supplementary sports channels and 11 interactive channels with 18 High Definition (HD) channels for UniFi BIZ customers to choose from. With HyppTV for Business, UniFi BIZ’s subscribers can enjoy HyppTV to further enrich their businesses with exciting infotainment experience.
HyppTV for Business guarantees uninterrupted and crystal clear transmission regardless of the weather condition and able to enjoy great variety of shows and programmes in HD. Among the available channels are Local and Regional News, Business News, Sports, Lifestyle/Entertainment, Music, Free-to-Air and Interactive channels. There are also two bundled packages for customer to choose from – FOX Package and STAR Chinese Package.

In Penang, the deployment of UniFi has covered Bayan Baru, Bukit Tengah and Seberang Jaya for both residential and industrial areas. UniFi has grown by leaps and bounds and to date, TM already more than 460,000 UniFi customers nationwide with over 65,000 SME customers included. Monthly new subscriptions are certainly on an upswing, increasing month-on-month since its launch in March 2010, driven by the increasing number of areas covered with UniFi and the increasing customer awareness that UniFi is now available in their neighbourhood.
