Tech World Expo 2013 debuts this Friday

More than 150,000 shoppers expected at Tech World Expo 2013, which starts this Friday, Feb 1, 2013 at Mid Valley Convention Centre, Kuala Lumpur

JANUARY 29, 2013, KUALA LUMPUR – Tech World Expo 2013 makes its debut this Friday, February 1 at Mid Valley Exhibition Centre, Kuala Lumpur with more than 80 participating exhibitors in 230 booths. Major brands like Acer, Apple, Asus, Canon, Dell, Hewlett-Packard, Lenovo, Logitech, Panasonic, Samsung, Seagate, Sony, Western Digital and more, are ready to with their range of Chinese New Year offers.

An estimated 150,000 visitors are expected at TWE2013 this weekend. According EM Exhibitions (M) Sdn Bhd project director Jeslynn Wong Lee Chen, “We expect many shoppers to take advantage of Federal Territory Day on February 1, which is a holiday in Kuala Lumpur, and make their way to TWE2013.”

She said the estimated large crowd size is also attributed to Chinese New Year, which is a week away. Many will be shopping for their Chinese New Year digital lifestyle necessities. “In addition, consumers generally have higher purchasing power at the start of the month,” she said.

Exhibitors like Canon Marketing (M) Sdn Bhd (Booth 212), Dell Sales Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Booth 108, 210), Lenovo Technology Sdn Bhd (Booth 107), Logitech Singapore Pte Ltd (Booth 207), Mac City Sdn Bhd (Booth 101), Panasonic Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Booth 201) and Western Digital (S.E Asia) Pte Ltd (Booth 105) are ready to make a strong impression on shoppers with their CNY offers.

For example, Mac City will reward a purchase of a MacBook Pro, MacBook Air or iMac with an iPod Shuffle, a computer knapsack, a special Mac City Ang Pow with cash vouchers and eligibility to take part in its Grand Draw, with prizes including a MacBook Air and iPod Touch.

Meanwhile, Sony is having its CNY Special with offers like Sony NEX at RM2,699, bundled with a complimentary gift worth RM498, Sony Bravia starting at RM999 and bundled with an assortment of gifts. Shoppers can also look forward to a myriad of CNY offers from large consumer technology retailers and distributors like Aone Plus Supplies & Services Sdn Bhd (Booth 209), ALL IT Hypermarket Sdn Bhd (Booth 102), IDEAL Vision Distribution Sdn Bhd (Booth 304), Kao Sheng Distribution Sdn Bhd (Booth 208), MicroNation Sdn Bhd (Booth 306) and Vertex Distribution Sdn Bhd (Booth 305) at TWE2013.

Asides the exhibitors, EM Exhibitions are rewarding the first 420 TWE420 shoppers. “Shoppers can redeem up to RM5,000  worth of “ang-pow” vouchers with receipts worth RM500 and above,” she said.
