KPJ Rawang Specialist Hospital enhances its customer experience with TM’s HSBB network connectivity and entertainment solution.
Rawang, 22 May 2014: KPJ Rawang Specialist Hospital (KPJ Rawang) today inked an agreement with Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) and Healthcare IT Solutions Sdn Bhd (HITSSB) to commemorate the provisioning of TM’s Hospitality Entertainment Solution to patients.
The Solution will give the hospital’s patients the ease and enjoyment derived from TM’s latest hassle-free offering which has the latest ICT and entertainment package comprising In-Building Broadband Solution (IBS), TM’s IPTV service – HyppTV and a technical help desk service.
The Solution is targeted not only at hospitals, but also at hotels and resorts operators/owners, apartments, condominiums and any building that needs wired/wireless Internet access and uninterrupted TV channels via HyppTV. The signing of the Service Agreement with KPJ Rawang today, however, is especially innovative as it is the first where an Enterprise customer subscribes to TM’s Hospitality Entertainment Solution.
Zaiton Sulaiman, General Manager represented KPJ Rawang at the signing while Dato’ Ghazali Omar, Executive Vice President, TM Enterprise, signed on behalf of TM, while HITSSB was represented by its Executive Director, Encik Yusri Ali.
Zaiton said, “As Malaysia’s preferred healthcare service provider, we are committed to delivering a great welcome to patients, right from the point of entry, with quality services and a pleasant environment. In line with this, KPJ Rawang has partnered with TM to introduce innovative systems, powered by TM’s high-speed broadband (HSBB) network connectivity.”
The agreement enables KPJ Rawang to offer their in-patients with high quality user-friendly “plug-and-play” internet access where they can remain connected to their loved ones by sending email, photos, and videos or even update their social media networks. TM Hospitality Entertainment Solution is provided at all rooms and waiting areas of the premise. KPJ Rawang’s patients will enjoy 12 HyppTV channels (5 Premium Channels + 7 Free to Air Channels).
Commenting on this milestone achievement, Dato’ Ghazali said, “TM has embarked on a journey towards becoming an integrated ICT player. We are moving beyond connectivity and instead of promoting individual products we work with closely with enterprises to offer end-to-end solutions that would enhance their business operations. “Business Made Easier” is an aspiration that we are committed to as the preferred communications and complete solutions partner to Enterprises in Malaysia. The Hospitality Entertainment Solution is our latest offering and we are pleased to inform that 35 hotels in Malaysia have already subscribed to TM’s Hospitality Entertainment Solution and KPJ Rawang is the very first hospital and enterprise customer to subscribe to the service. Congratulations to KPJ Rawang for having decided to enhance the comfort of its customers with TM’s Hospitality Entertainment Solution that will keep them connected with their loved ones as well as keep them entertained with exclusive, world-class contents in High Definition (HD) throughout their stay at the hospital. This is indeed timely as Malaysia has become increasingly attractive as a Medical Tourism Haven in Southeast Asia.”
Encik Yusri Ali said, “HITS’ wish is that through this partnership, we would be able to exchange and share knowledge and expertise to bring the best of both worlds either for patients or our customers.”
The all-in-one solution is specially developed to elevate guest experience and also to ease the technical management concerns of establishments as it provides High Speed Broadband Internet access via TM’s In-Building Broadband Solution, world-class entertainment via HyppTV, as well as a 24/7 Technical Call Centre and Customer support. With this, the hospital can focus on what it does best which is providing the best health care to its patients, and TM will do the rest.
