JF Technology Upbeat on its Prospects for 2009

PETALING JAYA, 10 December 2008 – Mesdaq-listed JF Technology Berhad, a leading designer, manufacturer and assembler of recurring customized test probe and socket consumables recorded impressive results for its financial year ended 30 June 2008.

Revenue for the group since its incorporation on 18 January 2008 to financial year ended 30 June 2008 stood at RM6.02 million with net profit after tax of RM4.43 million. The resulting earning per share is 9.13 sen.

During the Group’s first Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Petaling Jaya today, JF Tech’s Chairman and Managing Director Foong Wei Kuong said that prospects for the current financial year 2009 is satisfactory but cautioned that the group’s revenue growth may be affected by the slowdown in the global semiconductor industry.

“We are particularly pleased with the outcome of last financial year as we managed to deliver strong earnings result particularly in this difficult economic condition,” said Foong.

Due to the recurring nature of its business, he added that the slowdown will not significantly impact JF Tech’s business as compared to other semiconductor manufacturers.

“JF Tech’s main line of products is consumables and not capital investment goods. Our customized test probes and test sockets are needed as long as there is production of semiconductors,” said Foong.

Foong also disclosed at the AGM that construction of the group’s new manufacturing facility in Kota Damansara was on track for completion by March’09. It will have a capacity to produce up to 200,000 pieces of test probes a month, compared to 10,000 at its current facility. The enlarged capacity is set to drive JF Tech’s revenue growth.

On the R&D front, JF Tech has also completed its development of test probes suitable for lead-free devices; while its next-generation Pogo Pint is already in the final stages of development. JF Technology is the only listed entity on Mesdaq that makes test probes which are used in the testing of integrated circuits for mobile phones, TVs, cars and other electronic products. It now provides over 900 different types of test probes.

JF Technology Invests in New Manufacturing Plant in Kota Damansara

Ground breaking ceremony to mark commencement of construction work

MALAYSIA, 19 June 2008 – Mesdaq listed JF Technology Berhad, a leading designer, manufacturer and assembler of recurring customized test probe and socket consumables, will invest about RM13 million in a new manufacturing facility in Kota Damansara, Selangor.

At the company’s ground breaking ceremony held yesterday, JF Technology’s Managing Director Foong Wei Kuong announced that this major construction project will be carried out in two phases. The preliminary phase, which consists of a 45, 000 sq ft, 2-storey new building, is scheduled to be completed by March 2009. It will house the design, manufacturing, assembly, as well as research and development facilities for JF Technology in Malaysia.

The new factory shall comprise 26, 000 sq ft state-of-the-art production facility and another 4,000 sq ft will be allocated for the research and development centre. “We are breaking new grounds as we progress through our journey to be one of the leaders in the global test probes industry,” said Foong.

According to him, the integrated and expanded facility marks a long-term investment for the company and it further reflects on the growth that JF Technology has embarked on.

“With this enlarged production and R&D base, we are able to capitalize on any growth opportunities in the future. JF Technology aims to be one of the largest test probes and test solutions provider to the semiconductor industry in Asia,” Foong stated.

Currently, JF Technology produces more than 800 different types of test probes and pins to global OEM Test handler maker, regional semiconductor chip manufacturer and distributors. Its main product line is the G2 Kelvin test probes, which offer the most efficient test solution for the semiconductor industry and deliver more accurate results for the QFN (Quad Flat No Lead) package.

JF科技于白沙罗城科技园投资新制造设备

自动报价市场(MESDAQ)上市公司,JF科技,国内领先的测试器设计,生产及装配商,将投资约一仟三百万马币于白沙罗城科技园建筑全新的生产设施。

在昨天早上的动土仪式上,JF科技的执行董事冯伟强向大众宣布这项庞大的投机计划。建筑工程分为两个阶段进行。第一阶段的工程涉及一座面积约45000平方尺,高二层楼的建筑物,将分配为设计,生产和装配部门。第一阶段的工程预定在2009年3月完工。

新的建筑也将包括26000平方尺的生产设备,另外4000平方尺则作为研究中心。 ‘我们正开发新的设备作为机构的新里程碑,使本集团成为全球探测器生产商的先锋。’

冯先生表示,扩充设施是一项长期的投资计划,更反映了该机构在未来的发展备有无限的潜能。

‘更完善的生产设备和研究中心有助于机构在各领域的发展。JF科技希望成为亚洲区域最大的探测插座供应商之一。’

目前,JF科技生产多于800种不同的测试插座,供应于本区域的半导体生产和发售商。它的主要生产线是G2KELVIN探测器,那是半导体工业中最有效率的探测器,也为QFN提供较准确的结果。
