Brother Redefines Business Colour Printing with Its Latest Range of Colour Laser Printers Targeted At SMBs

Industry reports show that printingin colour serves a business function beyond the aesthetic value. Colourlaser printouts of invoices, marketing collateral and complex charts have beenfound to add a significant differential to companies, giving documents a morepolished, professional image.
According to results of a surveyconducted by Brother International in Malaysia, price is a keyconsideration for most SMBs as they usually have limited internal funds.Typically, local SMBs demand high ROI on the IT products and services theyacquire.

Using Brother's proprietary printengine technology, the revolutionary HL-4040CN and HL-4050CDN colour laserprinters aim to redefine business colour printing by offering business ownersaffordable colour printing for their everyday needs.
Mr. Otsuka explained that“Small businesses have the misconception that colour laser printing isexpensive. For our new range of colour laser printers, we set out to bustthat myth. Our new range of colour laser printers epitomise the Brother brand -quality, value and trust. With this range, we are geared towards becoming amongthe top choices in colour laser solutions among business users.”
The company aims to grow its share of market amongcorporate workgroups and SMBs in 2007, banking on its range of well-receivedinkjet multi-function centres launched earlier in the year, the colour laserprinter series introduced today, as well as its upcoming launch of colour lasermulti-function centres later in the year.
“Weare confident that we have the product range that will draw business users andhome users alike, and ultimately increase our sales,” said Mr. Otsuka. The HL-4040CN and the HL-4050CDN arecompetitively priced at RM1,488 and RM1,788 respectively, inclusive of a fullset of black, cyan, magenta and yellow toner cartridges.
Brother's new offering allowusers to print high quality monochrome documents even when colour tonercartridges run out, demonstrating the brand's clear understanding of theneeds of today's SMBs. Its Lock Colour Usage feature givingcorporate administrators the ability to restrict colour print usage by user.
Users are required to enter a password to print colour documents. This featureenables business owners to maintain control against employee usage abuse. The brand provides a choice ofstandard and high-yield toners. For heavy users, the high-yield toners willensure they get the most value out and among the lowest cost per page for bothcolour and monochrome printing.
The company has an extensiveservice and support network in Malaysia,with 38 Brother Service Centres, at least one in each state.
