iProperty推出新加坡分站

Parent of iProperty.com.my Launches Singapore Property Portal – iProperty.com.sg

KUALA LUMPUR, MALAYSIA, 5 November 2007 – IPGA Limited, ASX-Listed (ASX:IPP) parent company of Malaysia's No. 1 property and real estate website, iProperty.com.my, has officially launched its Singapore property portal, iProperty.com.sg. The official launch was attended by over 500 real estate agents and graced by the President of Singapore Institute of Estate Agents (IEA), Mr Jeff Foo.

iProperty.com.sg’s beta site started operations in August this year. In a short span of three months, it has already become the leading property portal in Singapore in terms of number of listings, archived listings and paying subscribers. To date, it has over 20,000 quality property listings, 200,000 archived listings, and 650 paying subscribers.

IPGA’s existing Singapore operations, Info-Tools, is the country’s leading B2B property information provider. Established in 1992, it offers Singapore market’s leading co-broking tools, historical data and property listing information which is used by over 80% of the real estate agents and agencies.

“Our success with the Malaysian business model and vast experience in the Singapore market gives us tremendous leverage to build iProperty.com.sg into the best consumer property website in Singapore. In a short span of three months, we have already established iProperty.com.sg as the clear market leader in the online property space, with over 20,000 quality property listings and 200,000 archive listings. We are the most effective way for people to research, find and ultimately buy property in Singapore,” Mr Patrick Grove, Executive Chairman of IPGA Limited said.

In mid-October this year, iProperty.com.sg entered into a strategic alliance with the Singapore Institute of Estate Agents (IEA) to promote and develop the Institute’s property portal. This formal alliance is an affirmation of iProperty.com.sg’s market leading position.

The alliance will see more property agents joining IEA as members and listing their properties on the portal. iProperty.com.sg’s partnership with IEA will also ensure that the properties listed on the portal are represented by professional, real estate agents. All real estate agents will also be required to post a photograph of themselves, thereby minimising the chances of consumers being duped by rogue agents.

“This alliance is timely given that we have moved forward with self regulating real estate agents and the issuance of Practicing Certificates for all our members,” said Jeff Foo, President of IEA. “We are confident that this partnership will benefit not only consumers, but also help in boosting the credibility of the real estate agents here as well as increasing their productivity. This relationship follows on from our long standing relationship with Info-Tools.”

As part of its continued efforts to enhance the quality of its service offerings and boost the site’s functionalities, iProperty.com.sg recently added Google maps on its site. Consumers can click on the interactive map to immediately access properties for sale and rent in the district of their choice.

IPGA Limited currently owns leading property portals in Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines, with Heads of Agreement in place to acquire an online property portal in Thailand.
