Global Information Technology Awards Foundation Pays Tribute to Individuals and Organizations that Use Information Technology to Benefit Society

IRVINE, Calif., June 2, 2008 — Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of enterprise business software solutions for the midmarket and divisions of Global 1000 companies, today announced that its customer, the Aquarium of the Pacific based in Long Beach, California, has been recognized as a Laureate by the Computerworld Honors Program. This year’s Honorees will be commemorated during the 20th Annual Laureates Medal Ceremony & Gala Awards Evening on June 2, 2008 at the Andrew W. Mellon Auditorium in Washington, D.C. For two decades, Computerworld Honors has acknowledged those individuals and organizations that have used information technology to benefit society.

Nominated by Epicor for its innovative use of Web 2.0 technology in creating new platforms for the public to experience and learn about the ocean, the Aquarium of the Pacific is Southern California’s largest aquarium and the fifth largest in the nation, with 1.4 million annual visitors, including 200,000 school children. Through the use of technology, the Aquarium of the Pacific has extended beyond its four walls, enabling anytime, anywhere access to information.

The Computerworld Honors Program unites Chairmen and CEOs of the world’s foremost information technology companies to recognize the most outstanding user achievements in technology each year. Each year, members of the Chairmen's Committee, a group of 100 Chairman/CEOs of global technology companies of which Epicor is a member, nominates individuals and organizations around the world whose visionary applications of information technology promotes positive social and economic progress.

Independent of the Laureate recognition, the Computerworld Honors Program also annually presents its Leadership Awards, each designed to honor the extraordinary achievements of selected individuals whose positive contributions to the IT revolution have left an indelible mark on the world.
