NEC Participates in Broadband World Forum Asia 2008

From July 15 – 18, 2008, NEC Corporation will participate in the Broadband World Forum Asia 2008 (BWFA 2008), a premier industry event held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, which introduces the latest broadband technologies, devices, applications, solutions and services (http://www.iec.org/events/2008/bbwf_asia/).

NEC’s exclusive exhibition booth at BWFA 2008 will feature such innovative wireless broadband related products as Long Term Evolution (LTE), Mobile WiMAX and Femtocell. NEC’s primary goals of the exhibition include the introduction of the significant advantages of LTE, which features high performance and compact size (approximate 45mm height), when compared to conventional base stations. Additional objectives include the introduction of migration proposals from 2G/3G systems.

Highlights of the NEC exhibition also include the Advanced TCA 300/Micro TCA, which has been adapted for universal architecture; the MSAN System, a multi-service access device which combines a variety of interfaces that span across G/GE-PON, Ether, Video and others; the CX2200, which has fully opened IPs to mobile backhaul networks; and IPTV that has paved the road for upcoming hit applications.

NEC aims to capitalize on BWFA 2008 in order to promote the company’s latest broadband products, applications and original business models, which have been developed to meet the ongoing growth of customer needs.
