SIEMENS PLM SOFTWARE ANNOUNCES SIEMENS PLM CONNECTION ASEAN 2008

Conference Features NX 6 Launch with Synchronous Technology

Malaysia, August 21, 2008 – Siemens PLM Software, a business unit of the Siemens Industry Automation Division and a leading global provider of product lifecycle management (PLM) products and services today announced Siemens PLM Connection ASEAN 2008, its annual user and developer conference in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, on Aug 21.

The annual user group conference supports one of the largest industry user communities and target users of NX™, Teamcenter®, Tecnomatix® and Solid Edge® software. More than 750 attendees are expected.

Siemens PLM Software will introduce NX 6, its latest digital product development product that uses synchronous technology as its base. Siemens PLM Software’s NX 6 provides breakthrough capabilities that significantly benefit today’s product makers.

Conference
The conference continues to grow in technical content and attendance. The event will feature technology roadmap and update, live demonstrations by technical experts, practical real world implementations of PLM technology and technical sessions that will cover Siemens PLM Software’s leading products including Teamcenter, NX, Tecnomatix, Velocity Series™ (Femap®, Solid Edge, NX Cam Express and Teamcenter Express). Presentations are organized in two tracks to connect users with similar interests. These include:
· NX 6 Track: The NX 6 Track will discuss and demonstrate key NX 6 product
features and enhancements available in NX 6, which include Design Freedom enabled by synchronous technology. NX 6 expands the system's Design Freedom capabilities with new approaches for product development and provides new dynamic editing and creation capabilities that make it easier for non-designers (such as simulation engineers and manufacturing engineers) to use the system's CAD functionality. It also enables data to be used from any source.

· Velocity Series Track: The Velocity Series track will cover a completely unified
CAD and PDM environment and full associatively between CAM and CAD, as well as embedded CAE in CAD.
