ORGA SYSTEMS PICKS MALAYSIA AS ASIAN HUB

Asian Mobile Network Operators Eager For One-Stop-Shop Billing Solution

Kuala Lumpur, 29 September 2008 - Orga Systems, the leading provider for convergent real-time billing from Germany, has picked Malaysia as its hub to expand its presence in Asia.

The new office in the country’s capital Kuala Lumpur caters to provide highly complex products and end-to-end billing solutions to meet the future demands of the telecom operators. It will also serve as the software development center for the Orga Group.

Orga Systems Asia’s Managing Director, Stephan Brandt said that the company selected Malaysia as the key hub for its Asian operations because of its economic stability, good cost of infrastructure as well as a supportive government that encourages more ICT companies to start business in Malaysia.

Brandt said, "Malaysia’s many strengths including its strategic location, supportive financial climate, its infrastructure and high resources availability, has made it the country of choice to be the base for our Asian operations."

The company will be investing about RM 10 million in the next three years to grow its hub in Kuala Lumpur which has been operational since February 2008.

According to Brandt, the setting up of the new Malaysia office will boost the company’s aims to expand aggressively into Asia where there is an increasing demand for future-proof billing systems that will support the fast-changing telecommunication market.

"We are committed to Asia for the long term. The highly competitive Asia-Pacific mobile market stipulates real-time convergent billing as well as loyalty solutions.

"In addition, the explosion of data services, data convergence and the introduction of broadband services via mobile and fixed-line are prompting more and more mobile operators to adopt convergent real time billing systems," said Brandt.

Due to a lack of real-time control, operators today offer only a few data services for prepaid subscribers. Fraud prevention and real-time cost-control are even more important for premium data services.

As competition between operators is almost solely based on price in most Asia-Pacific markets, real-time loyalty programmes are the best measures to overcome high churn-rates.

The Orga Systems’ product suite is thus designed to enable and support convergent real-time offerings. These offerings help increase Average Revenue Per User (ARPU), raising customer loyalty and reducing costs for competitive advantages.
