DiGi : Service interruption resolved

25 May 2009 – There was a temporary service disruption to the DiGi network today, which directly affected about a million prepaid customers. They experienced intermittent disruption to voice and SMS services from 8.00 a.m., and by 11.45 a.m. all services were restored to full capacity.

DiGi Chief Executive Officer, Johan Dennelind said: “I take this extremely seriously. Our customers have an expectation to be always on and I am disappointed that they have been inconvenienced today, and for that I apologise. The root cause is known and the matter has been resolved.

“We are offering all our prepaid customers 50% off on all voice calls on Thursday, 28 May 2009, from 7.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m. as a small way to make up for this morning’s disruption.”
