U Mobile, Intel & Acer enter into a strategic collaboration to combine the fastest internet and devices with value-for-money bundle plans.

Kuala Lumpur, 15 June 2012 – It was a milestone achievement for both U Mobile Sdn Bhd, Malaysia’s most innovative and dynamic telco and, Intel Malaysia, as they announced a strategic collaboration to provide customers with the market’s first unique bundled packages of the latest devices coupled with the fastest mobile internet in town, beginning with Acer’s latest range of devices.

Cheers and applause welcomed the first, most affordable notebook bundle which was launched at U Mobile’s flagship store in Berjaya Times Square today. U Mobile is the first and only telco in the country collaborating together with Intel and Acer to bundle the Ultrabook™ with its broadband plans. Intel and U Mobile announced at the launch that they are committed to introducing a new product bundle every 2 to3 months, catering to the needs of U Mobile customers. These bundles will initially be showcased and available at designated kiosks in selected U Mobile stores and, eventually, at the rest of U Mobiles sales outlets nationwide. The interactive kiosks were symbolically unveiled by U Mobile, Intel and Acer to kick off the collaboration.

Customers and those intending to own an Ultrabook™ can take home the new Acer M3 Ultrabook™ and enjoy six months of high-speed Internet surfing with speeds up to 42Mbps from as low as RM2,699. The MB68 bundle includes 5GB of data, 6 months Internet access, free modem and delivers savings of up to RM408. Ultimate data users can opt for the MB128 plan, which includes 20GB of data, 6 months Internet access, a free modem and savings of RM668.

Speaking at the event, Jaffa Sany Ariffin, CEO of U Mobile, said, “This collaboration marks the coming together of three innovative entities that are dynamic and responsive to their target audiences.
