TUNE TALK IS QPR’S ASIAN TELECOMMUNICATION PARTNER

Promises benefits for both Tune Talk subscribers and QPR fans

KUALA LUMPUR, 21 July 2012 - Tune Talk, Malaysia’s fastest growing mobile prepaid service is proud to announce that they are the “Official Asian Telecommunication Partner’ for Malaysian-owned Queens Park Rangers or QPR as the professional English football club is widely known.

The collaboration between the two strong brands, Tune Talk and QPR promises a host of exciting benefits for both Tune Talk’s customer base and QPR’s fan base in Asia.QPR fans can look forward to exclusive QPR content such as match highlights, player updates, QPR caller ringback tone (CRBT), the wrecking machine and discounts on exclusive merchandise. Even more exciting would be exclusive football-related packages such as tickets to matches, flights and accommodation.

Tune Talk CEO, Jason Lo, a football enthusiast himself said, “Tune Talk recognises the potential and growth capabilities of QPR as an English Premier League team. QPR’s aspirations and drive align with ours and we’re excited to grow with the team.”Anton Ferdinand, Andy Evans (CEO of Community Trust QPR), Philip Beard (CEO of QPR), Jason Lo (CEO of Tune Talk), Dato Kamarudin Meranun (Founder of Tune Group/ Director of QPR), Ruben Gnanalingam (Director of QPR) and Shaun Derry

“QPR has become one of the most exciting teams in the premiers league. We'd like to be part of this moment where a Malaysian owned team could show true potential and compete with the big boys. Just like QPR, we at Tune Talk also have aspirations to be the best and in that sense we hope to align ourselves with this growing brand in Asia and build the community with a host of platforms that will bring the club closer to new fans in this region.”

Tune Talk is looking at a 3-year collaboration with QPR, which would give ample time to sufficiently develop local interest in QPR. Plans are already underway to form a QPR Malaysia Official Supporters Club.

“This is an exciting partnership. Malaysians are football mad and QPR is Malaysian-owned. The potential for cross-selling across customers is massive as are the benefits for QPR die-hard fans. We really scored with this collaboration.” said Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, Chairman of QPR Holdings Ltd

This news is timely as QPR has just recently played Sabah and Kelantan for their pre-season World Asia Tour 2012. They will be playing against Indonesian club, Persebaya Surabaya in Surabaya on 23 July 2012.

“At the end of the tour, we will return to England with a fitter squad and I also hope we will have gained new fans during our time both in Malaysia and Indonesia,” said Mark Hughes, QPR Manager, earlier in the tour.

Looks like Mark Hughes will get his wish granted with the Tune Talk and QPR collaboration.
