Lenovo Celebrates 20 Years of Innovation with the Latest and Thinnest ThinkPad Ultrabooks

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon is World’s Lightest Ultrabook;
ThinkPad T430u Offers Business-class Performance at Affordable Prices

MALAYSIA – September 5, 2012: At today’s celebration of the ThinkPad’s 20th anniversary, Lenovo (HKSE: 992) (ADR: LNVGY) announced the availability of its latest Ultrabooks™, the ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad T430u. These Ultrabooks were showcased alongside a display highlighting key milestones and innovation in the 20 years of the ThinkPad evolution, from the first ThinkPad in 1992, to the iconic ThinkPad 701c “butterfly keyboard” laptop which was introduced in 1995, to the ThinkPad 750c - the first laptop in outer space.

Khoo Hung Chuan, Country General Manager, Lenovo Malaysia, said: “Very few brands are fortunate enough to become an industry icon with loyal fans who are passionate about each generation of ThinkPad products. The ThinkPad brand has stood the test of time with features like its black bento box shape, the red track point and unmatched reliability. With that in mind, we’re excited to announce the availability of our ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook, a major milestone in our ongoing quest to define the future of business computing through continuous innovation. With the ThinkPad X1 Carbon in our lineup, we have the widest range of Ultrabook offerings which can cater to both consumers and enterprise users.”
ThinkPad X1 Carbon: The Lightest Professional Ultrabook
When it comes to mobility, the X1 Carbon weighs less than three pounds (1.36kg, less than a 1.5l soft drink bottle), packing a high resolution display into a 14-inch laptop design.  While incredibly light thanks to its carbon fiber construction, it retains ThinkPad’s renowned durability for use in practically any environment. To keep users up and running, the X1 Carbon provides up to eight hours of battery life and industry-best charge times with Lenovo RapidCharge technology.  Equipped with optional 3G mobile broadband and hotspot technology, users can stay connected virtually anywhere, anytime.

Despite its thin design, the X1 Carbon delivers a rich user experience with a backlit keyboard that maintains the legendary ThinkPad reputation as the industry’s best for comfort and accuracy. The X1 Carbon also includes a multi-gesture glass surface touchpad, HD face-tracking camera, dual array microphones and Dolby-tuned audio for crisp and clear sound.

Business-ready with Intel® vPro technology and powered by 3rd generation Intel Core processors, the X1 Carbon is among the first Ultrabooks to offer true corporate-level security and manageability, and for expansion capabilities and to manage unsightly cables, users can dock it via Lenovo’s new USB3.0 Dock. Additionally, Lenovo offers a variety of Service and Support packages such as custom imaging, extended warranties and accidental damage protection.
ThinkPad T430u: Performance for Businesses
The ThinkPad T430u Ultrabook powers the business and personal computing needs of today’s working professional. Also powered by 3rd generation Intel Core processors, the T430u equips users with the same thin and light designs found in consumer ultrabooks without sacrificing business-class performance, and offered at mainstream prices.

Configurable with a unique combination of NVIDIA GeForce graphics and 1 Terabyte of storage, the T430u provides powerful graphics capability and massive storage capacity - features rarely found in Ultrabooks.  At more than seven hours of battery life, the ThinkPad T430u provides full-day freedom from power cords.

The T430u also comes with Lenovo Solution Center for Small Business including Intel Small Business Advantage, offering hardware-based capabilities to improve productivity and enhance security. The diagnostic center helps users self manage backup and recovery, passwords, Internet connections, anti-virus software, firewall settings and devices.

Powered by 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ Processors
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon and ThinkPad T430u Ultrabooks are powered by 3rd Generation Intel® Core™ processors which deliver industry-leading CPU performance with reduced power consumption, and multiple enhancements that improve connectivity, responsiveness, and security.

Pricing and Availability
The ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook (3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i5) is available in stores today while the ThinkPad X1 Carbon Ultrabook (3rd Generation Intel® Core™ i7) and ThinkPad T430u Ultrabook will be available at the end of September.

This is a great laptop except it was just released so if you're buying it now, it makes you an "early adopter" and pioneer to help Lenovo discover issues.I like very much all lenovo, Lenovo ThinkPad, Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad, ultrabook lenovo.Because it,s look very beautiful and thinest.
