HP Showcases Latest Key Innovations for Malaysian Businesses and Consumers

KUALA LUMPUR, March 26, 2013 — HP today showcased in Malaysia, its latest innovations in computing and printing technology which are designed to increase mobility and productivity.

These HP products, ranging from stylish laptops and tablet to the world’s fastest desktop printers, leverage premium materials and a purposeful design philosophy to deliver a distinct HP look and feel.

Offering consumers the advantages of two devices in one
The HP ENVY x2 is a powerful, ultrathin hybrid PC that delivers the power of a laptop and the freedom of a tablet in one stylish, lightweight device. A laptop that doubles as a tablet, the HP ENVY x2 has a detachable screen that becomes a full tablet when separated from the keyboard via a seamless magnetic latch.

The hybrid laptop includes a vivid 11.6-inch diagonal high-definition (HD)(1) touch display,  Beats Audio, an HD webcam plus an 8-megapixel camera, and near field communication (NFC) technology that lets users share content, including photos, contacts and URLs, with a simple tap. The HP ENVY x2 is currently available in Malaysia at a starting price of RM 2,599(2).

Enhancing mobility and collaboration for businesses
The HP ElitePad 900  is a true tablet for businesses, balancing a beautiful design with enterprise-grade features such as the full serviceability, enhanced security and manageability found in HP Elite PCs. In addition, it offers military-grade durability for drops, vibration, dust, temperature extremes and high altitude.(3) The ultrathin and lightweight Windows 8-based tablet(4) also features optional HP ElitePad Smart Jackets,(5) which add connectivity options and longer battery life along with specific add-ons that customize the tablet for specialized uses. Currently available in Malaysia, the HP ElitePad 900 is priced from RM 2,499 onwards(2).

The HP EliteBook Revolve is a touch-enabled laptop that pivots to let users share their work and folds to go mobile as a tablet. It is designed for businesses that require both an ultrathin laptop and a touch-enabled tablet. Driven by the latest, third-generation Intel® Core™ processors and optimized for Windows® 8(6), the HP EliteBook Revolve offers the incredible performance and visuals of a full-powered laptop alongside the flexibility of quickly switching to a tablet with a touch-enabled high-definition (HD) (1) display. The HP EliteBook Revolve is expected to be available in Malaysia from mid-April and pricing will be announced at a later date.

World’s fastest desktop printer
The world’s fastest desktop printer, the HP Officejet Pro X delivers high-quality prints at up to twice the speed and half the printing cost of laser printers. This new class of device is powered by HP PageWide Technology, the next-generation inkjet platform that sets a new standard for small work team printing, producing high-quality documents at up to 70 pages per minute.(7,8).

HP PageWide Technology delivers four colors of Original HP pigment ink at one time onto a moving sheet of paper. As the paper moves, the printhead remains stationary, allowing the HP Officejet Pro X Series to print quickly and quietly. The standard 500-sheet main paper tray lets SMBs save even more time with fewer printing interruptions.

Available in two models in Malaysia, the HP Officejet Pro X Series consists of the HP Officejet Pro X476 MFPs and Officejet Pro X451 printers. Expected to be available in Malaysia from mid-April these printers are priced from RM 2,199(1) and RM 1,599(1) respectively.
