DiGi Debuts Customer First Day in Malaysia

DiGizens take to the streets to listen, reward and surprise loyal DiGi customers

SHAH ALAM, 23 September 2013 – Once again, DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd (DiGi) painted Klang Valley yellow in a bid to celebrate its loyal customers today in an event themed ‘Customer First Day’. The event saw 1,500 DiGizens bring their ‘We Will Win’ spirit to connect and engage with customers in an Amazing Race-like challenge as part of the company’s appreciation for its customers continued support.

Spotted amongst the DiGizens was Chief Executive Officer Henrik Clausen and members of his management team, who also took part in the challenge. Henrik said, “Customers have always been a priority to DiGi and making them central to our business has become a large part of what we do every day. Apart from appreciating our loyal customers, today’s activity is to further instill a ‘customer first’ mindset among DiGizens as we believe that driving a truly customer–centric business is a shared responsibility for all of us in DiGi.”

True to the company’s Internet For All mission, DiGizens completed the amazing race-like course powered almost entirely by the internet. They utilised social media apps such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram to decipher clues and find out what kind of fun tasks they had to carry out as part of the customer engagement activity. This included treating customers to personally hand-delivered coffee, pizzas, flowers and chocolates. Customers were also gifted with a ‘Thank You’ card offering them a free 1 Month Tablet Plan for 500MB internet access. The fun was also extended to all 21 DiGi stores nationwide, where walk-in customers were treated to goodies and were serenaded to by entertainers and retail staff.

Malaysia was the first market within the Telenor Group to celebrate this special day with the participation of Telenor’s Board of Directors.
