Experience Unique Malaysian Moments through the Lens of GALAXY S4 zoom

KUALA LUMPUR – November 4, 2013 – Being unique isn’t easy, but the wide spectrum of cultures and influences in Malaysia allow us to celebrate the things that make us different and interesting. In recognition of our distinctive identity, Samsung Malaysia embarks on a visual journey to get people closer to these irreplaceable qualities through the lens of the GALAXY S4 zoom.

To drive the campaign, Samsung Malaysia has appointed four exceptional personalities – visual trendsetter, Nini Ramlan; fashion innovator, Alia Bastamam; celebrity chef, Nik Michael Imran; and last but not least, Malaysian Hip Hop pioneer, Joe Flizzow. Equipped with the GALAXY S4 zoom, each personality will document stories of their interesting lives visually. This collection of stories is a celebration of distinctive Malaysian passion points in fashion, music, food and art.

“There is no one definition to being Malaysian. We are unique because of our diversity and that, ultimately, makes up our strength as a nation. At Samsung, we are very excited to create countless moments of discovery through the stories brought to life with the GALAXY S4 zoom,” said Ng Long Shyang, Vice President of IT and Mobile Communications, Samsung Malaysia Electronics.

The GALAXY S4 zoom is a unique device that delivers the perfect combination of industry-leading smartphone functionality and advanced photographic capabilities. In short, it allows users to Talk, Zoom and Share within a single device.

Ng remarked that the four personalities were selected because of what they represent in Malaysia. “Nini, Alia, Nik Michael and Joe have developed an identity for themselves in their areas of expertise, and we are keen to bring people on that journey in celebrating these unique qualities that make us proud to be Malaysians”, he adds.

In addition to the stories chronicled by Malaysian personalities, Samsung’s Unique Malaysian Moments is also a platform for the Malaysian public to share their own unique moments in the form of pictures or videos. To top it all off, these moments will be incorporated in a limited edition music video of Joe Flizzow’s number one hit single, HAVOC.  

The campaign commences on 6 November 2013, with the release of Joe Flizzow’s limited edition HAVOC etched in for 5 December 2013.
