Trackers on Superbikes Used by Malaysia Book of Records to Validate 5,000km Ride

KUALA LUMPUR, 10 APRIL 2014 – Renowned superbikers, T. Ganasan, known in the biking circles as ‘Captain Adventure’ and P. Nadarajan, known as ‘Success P. Nada’, will for the first time, attempt a record in the Malaysia Book of Records for the ‘Longest Distance Motorcycle Ride by a Duo’. Over the next five days, the duo will cover a combined distance of 5000km or more.

ABN Media Group, Executive Chairman YBhg Tan Sri K. K. Eswaran, who flagged-off the riders at the ABN Media Group office in Puchong Gateway today, said the event is not a race but a national ride to promote safe riding amongst bikers. The event is designed to encourage the younger generation to participate in healthy activities and feats of similar nature in a safe manner.

“The ride will also be a benchmark for the younger generation to participate in similar challenges in the future,” added K. K. Eswaran.

Malaysia’s certification board, the Malaysia Book of Records (“MBR”), will monitor the entire ride using trackers. The trackers, installed on each of the superbikes are the first of its kind in the country. It will assist the MBR in monitoring and validating the travel routes taken by the riders as they cover various checkpoints throughout Peninsular Malaysia.
