“DT microDuo is a great companion device to mobile phones or tablets as it lets users back up files on the go thus freeing up space, or share files between devices with ease,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston. “Its sleek design has a built-in key loop and rotating cap, so it is small in size and big on storage. Travelers can take entire libraries of music or videos with them on trips without worrying about filling up the memory on their own device.”

• Affordable Enterprise-Grade Security Helps Address Privacy and Regulation Concerns
• First to Market Hardware Encrypted USB 3.0 Performance

Optional Award-Winning Proactive Malware Protection from ESET

Hsinchu, Taiwan – November 14, 2013 – Kingston, the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the release of the DataTraveler Vault Privacy 3.0 (DTVP) secure USB Flash drive, as well as the DataTraveler Vault Privacy 3.0 Anti-Virus, which helps enterprises safeguard business data and set security policies for end-users at an affordable price point. DTVP 3.0 provides 100-percent hardware-based encryption of confidential information and is also available separately with ClevX DriveSecurity™ powered by ESET anti-virus protection. The anti-virus engine utilizes ESET’s NOD 32® proactive award-winning technology, which protects corporate end-users wherever they work or plug in.

As the workforce becomes more mobile, businesses must take the appropriate steps to educate their employees and establish security policies so sensitive data cannot be accessed by unauthorized users or cybercriminals. Kingston’s DataTraveler® Vault Privacy 3.0 USB Flash drive provides affordable business-grade security with 256-bit AES hardware-based encryption using XTS block cipher mode, which offers stronger protection than CBC and ECB modes. It is the first-to-market hardware-encrypted secure USB Flash drive with USB 3.0 performance.

DTVP 3.0 is available with optional, easy to deploy and easy to use (no installation required) anti-virus protection from ESET/ClevX that protects the drive’s contents from viruses, spyware, Trojans, worms, rootkits, adware and other Internet-borne threats. “At ESET, we are proud to be joining forces with one of the global leaders in memory products. With ClevX DriveSecurity, Kingston USB sticks add another important layer of protection and we are confident that ESET technology will offer further benefit to Kingston and PC users,” adds ESET Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, Ignacio Sbampato.

There are many examples of breaches involving lost or stolen USB Flash drives resulting in large security leaks. The likes of targeted attacks such as the notorious Stuxnet worm and Flame virus continue to loom. Recent examples include:

• In the United Kingdom, the Greater Manchester Police Department was fined £150,000 by the UK Information Commissioner's Office after an officer brought a Flash drive home containing personal information of more than 1,000 individuals with links to serious criminal investigations. The drive was stolen when the home was burglarized. The stolen device was not encrypted or password protected.

• In India, the Eastern Naval Command of the Indian Navy experienced a breach of their highly-secure, non-Internet connected PCs/ Malware hidden on a secret folder within a USB drive collected information when a user inserted it into a Naval Command PC. Classified data pertaining to sea trials of the country’s first nuclear missile submarine was stored on the drive until it was plugged into an Internet-connected PC so it could be transmitted to another foreign country.

• In the United States, a contractor in charge of developing North Carolina's Medicaid billing system lost an unencrypted USB drive containing the personal information of more than 50,000 nationwide providers, which included full names, Social Security numbers, addresses and dates of birth.

“Many enterprise organizations take security and protecting confidential information extremely seriously, yet still fail to set or follow all security policies,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston. “With the latest DTVP 3.0 security features and optional anti-malware protection by ESET coupled with best practices, organizations can better safeguard confidential data. Kingston has also helped enterprises future proof their investment by implementing fast USB 3.0 speeds and designing controllers which allow NAND to be interchanged without requalification and certification of security features.”

Kingston Technology Ships Memory Solutions for Growing x86 and ARM Microserver Markets

• 1.35v ECC SO-DIMMs, Unregistered DIMMs Available in 1600MHz, 1333MHz Frequencies and 8GB, 4GB Capacities

Hsinchu, Taiwan – July 11, 2013-  Kingston Technology Company, Inc., the independent world leader in memory products, today announced it is shipping server memory solutions for microservers, a new and growing segment of the server market. Kingston® has both 1.35v low-voltage ECC SO-DIMMs and unregistered DIMMs in 1600MHz and 1333MHz frequencies to support both x86 or ARM-based processors and system-on -chip (SoC) designs.

Microservers are quickly gaining in popularity as companies seek powerful, yet more energy- and physical-space efficient solutions that serve specific data center needs or cloud applications. Examples include web and cloud hosting, and big data where terabytes or petabytes of information sets are analyzed per second. Kingston’s low-voltage, high-performing microserver memory modules are the perfect match to help accomplish these tasks.

“New low power SoC designs such as Intel's Avoton and ARM-based designs from Calxeda, Applied Micro and Marvell have allowed early adopters to bring microservers to the server market,” said Ann Bai, DRAM Sales Director, APAC region, Kingston. “As the microserver ecosystem and marketplace develops and grows, we are here to serve our partners and customers with low-power, high-performance memory offerings.”

Kingston is celebrating 25 years in the memory industry. The company was founded on October 17, 1987, and has grown to become the largest third-party memory manufacturer in the world. The 25th anniversary video and information including a timeline of Kingston's history can be found here. In addition, HyperX memory is celebrating its 10th anniversary. The first HyperX high-performance memory module was released in November 2002.

New Kingston SSDNow KC300 Maximizes Power Efficiency for Business and Consumer Use

• New SSD Boosts Productivity as it Allows Notebook PCs to Run Longer
• Enterprise-grade SMART Tools Self-Monitor Health and Life of the SSD Enabling More Efficient Workload Management
• Advanced Data Integrity Protection Helps Maximize Performance and Endurance

Hsinchu, Taiwan – May 30, 2013- Kingston, the independent world leader in memory products, today announced the latest addition to its SSDNow family, the KC300 solid-state drive. KC300 enables business, mobile and power users to be more productive as the drive maximizes power efficiencies in notebook PCs. KC300 provides advanced power management via an LSI SandForce second-generation SF-2281 processor, allowing users to do more from a single charge.

KC300 is the next-generation business drive, replacing the Kingston V+200 and KC100 SSDs. The drive features enterprise-grade SMART attributes, allowing IT departments to monitor wear range data, SSD life left, write amplification and total bytes written. KC300 comes equipped with Data Integrity Protection featuring DuraWrite technology to extend the life of the SSD by effectively and efficiently reducing the number of Flash writes via an intelligent compression engine without sacrificing data integrity. RAISE reduces the number of uncorrectable errors in the drive, over and above standard error code correction.

“Kingston’s new SSDNow KC300 is designed to help business, mobile and power users extend the lifespan and significantly improve the performance of their PC or notebook with higher speeds, greater stability and reliability,” said Nathan Su, Flash Memory Sales Director, APAC Region, Kingston. “KC300 provides greater power efficiency than the traditional hard disk drive, thus allowing users to keep on working longer without having to recharge the battery.”

KC300 is available as a stand-alone drive or as an upgrade kit containing cloning software and other accessories for a desktop and/or notebook system. It is backed by a three-year warranty, free technical support and legendary Kingston reliability.
