ChatON: A Celebration of Friendship and Creative Expression

Instant messaging app unveils local TVC and announces partnership with Starbucks

Kuala Lumpur – 1 July 2013 – ChatON, a cross-platform mobile messaging app, was celebrated in a sea of orange at The Butter Factory KL in the official unveiling of its brand new television commercial and announcement of its upcoming partnerships.

Guests at the launch party were suitably entertained with dance performances, ChatON-related games and the first-ever appearance by Chatty, the official mascot for the ChatON app. In the spirit of friendship and camaraderie, there was an announcement of a partnership between ChatON and Starbucks which will offer users the privilege of enjoying special promotions just by adding Starbucks as a Special Buddy in the ChatON app. The Special Buddy feature provides offers, updates and news feeds from third-party vendors in real-time.

Anicons are ON – ChatON’s Anicon characters make an appearance at the ChatON Launch party at Butter Factory, Kuala Lumpur.

ChatON, now available in 62 languages in over 200 countries, comes with a host of innovative features to add zest and colour into everyday conversations.

In bringing chatting to the next level, ChatON’s standout features include enhanced group chat which allows up to 200 people in a single chat room, making for more dynamic and interactive chatting between large groups of friends. When chatting with many people, it is essential to express messages clearly and creatively. This is where Anicons (animated emoticons) come in handy with a multitude of themes to choose from.

In line with promoting creative expression, Animessage allows users to create their own animated messages with original drawings, texts and audio content. The aptly-named Trunk allows users to check all the images and media files shared in chat rooms through a multimedia-sharing box for convenient browsing.

ChatON is available on a multitude of mobile operating systems such as Android, iOS, BlackBerry, Windows and bada, to truly make the app an instant messaging service for all. STARBUCKS JOINS FORCES WITH FOODPANDA

foodpanda ties up with Starbucks, KFC and Subway

KUALA LUMPUR, 26th June, 2013 – Food delivery e-commerce website, www.foodpanda.my ties up with leading international food chains including Starbucks, Tony Roma’s, Old Town White Coffee and Morganfields. This provides an additional sales channel for these restaurants and a digital way to reach out to their customers.
