NEC INTRODUCES NEW SERIES OF SCALABLE COMMERCIAL NOTEBOOKS
Kuala Lumpur, 8 October 2007: Active executives constantly on the move now have a choice of three full-feature workplace notebooks – the NEC VERSA S970, P570, and M370 – with flexible specifications that support the small to medium-sized business and enterprise commercial market.
All three notebooks are equipped with Intel stable computer platform technology providing compatibility and convenience in the enterprise network environment. 
NEC VERSA S970
The NEC VERSA S970, dubbed the businessperson’s notebook, weighs a slim 2.2kg with improved battery life and optional extended battery life of up to seven hours. The lightweight notebook with 14-inch widescreen and NEC Super Shine View (SSV) technology is ideal for frequent business travellers. It also comes with a built-in microphone for easy teleconferencing.

The NEC VERSA P570 and M370, addressing the demands of commercial desktop replacement, incorporate 1.3M webcam and user-friendly interface
In terms of high-end performance, the NEC VERSA P570 is equipped with NVIDIA®GeForce® 8400M GS Graphic Chipset that enables the system to run demanding video and images for business presentations.
The NEC VERSA P570 and NEC VERSA M370, weighing approximately 2.7kg, come with 15.4-inch WXGA widescreen and NEC Super Shine View technology. The screen size makes it possible to read spreadsheets in full screen. The notebooks also incorporate full-sized keyboard with a numeric keypad for number input.
“NEC has integrated features that executives need in the new scalable notebooks because our top priority is customer satisfaction,” says Iwasaki. “The latest series is designed for executives who value data security and convenience.”
All three models feature TPM data security design. It also works with the optional Fingerprint BIO Identification, which replaces passwords, that allows only authorised users access to stored data.
The new NEC models come with Intel Centrino Pro Processor technology that enables the enterprise network administrator to access the software, hardware inventory, diagnose and repair problems, and modify the parameters of the BIOS through the wireless network for trouble-free IT management. The addition of WiFi supporting 802.11a/g/n standard is geared for current and future high-speed wireless network access with security.
Other key features include ECO power saving, Intel Turbo Memory, and optional port duplicator for significant expandability, and faster connectivity with network and accessories.
The S970, P570, and M370, having gone through rigorous tests and extreme environment assessments, provide a variety of guarantee options. The notebooks function superbly under different weather conditions and can withstand mild impacts caused by frequent mobility.
