馬來西亞EMC資訊管理與儲存新聞獎得獎者名單出爐

Malaysia 2007 Information Management and Storage Journalism Awards Winners

KUALA LUMPUR –March 18, 2008 – EMC Corp, the world leader in information infrastructure solutions and the sponsor of Malaysia’s Information Management and Storage Journalism Awards 2007 is pleased to announce the three outstanding journalists who have won the top three prizes this year.

After having evaluated numerous entries from Malaysia’s business and technology media the panel of judges that, this year, included Associate Prof. Datin Dr. Hasmah Zanuddin, Dept. of Media Studies, Faculty of Arts & Social Sciences, University of Malaya; Mr. C. J Ang, President of PIKOM; Ms. Becky DiSorbo, Director of Communications – APJ, EMC, and Mr. P. K. Gupta, Vice Chairman for Storage Networking Industry Association - South Asia, chose the following winners:

· Christy Lee from The Star In.Tech, won the first prize for the article ‘Going Green In Data Centres’,
· Vinodhini Nair from Business Today, won the second prize for 'Data Explosion Contained'.
· Victor Yap from Business Today, won the third prize for 'Revolutionizing The Security Landscape', and

The first prize winner was awarded RM5,000 the second RM3,000 and the third RM1,000.

Said Peter Goh, Managing Director, EMC Malaysia, “Information management and storage is a relatively young sector in the Malaysian IT industry, but its importance has become widely recognized by organizations. Planning for disasters, legislative compliance and corporate governance have all raised awareness of the specialized needs for sound information infrastructure.”

“Media plays a very important role in educating Malaysian organizations on important business and IT issues and therefore, EMC seeks to elevate the knowledge behind the news.
