Epicor® Wins START-IT Magazine’s 2008 Power of Partnership Award

Software Industry Leaders Receive Silver Honor for ISV Relationship at the Eleventh Annual Technology and Business Awards Ceremony

IRVINE, Calif., July 9, 2008 — Epicor Software Corporation (NASDAQ: EPIC), a leading provider of enterprise business software solutions for the midmarket and divisions of Global 1000 companies, today announced that Epicor and Microsoft Corp. received START-IT magazine’s prestigious 2008 Power of Partnerships award. Epicor and Microsoft were recognized at the eleventh annual Technology & Business (T&B) awards ceremony for their alignment in transforming the way people and organizations leverage technology.

"Epicor and Microsoft exemplify what can be accomplished when two industry leaders utilize one another’s strengths and expertise to deliver innovative solutions that empower their customers to greater success," said Peggy Smedley, editorial director of START-IT. "We congratulate both companies for their combined success."

START-IT's Power of Partnerships Awards pay tribute to companies who have partnered together in an effort to create a unified approach to solving a challenge or creating a business opportunity. Epicor and Microsoft have had a strategic alliance for more than 20 years, effectively balancing business and technology to deliver value to mutual customers. The most recent fruits of this partnership, which are also apparent in Epicor's focus on compatibility with the Microsoft Office system, have resulted in Epicor Information Worker (IW), an office business application (OBA) that allows customers to use Microsoft Office Excel, Office Word, Office Outlook, and SharePoint Server to pull information from Epicor software solutions and execute specific tasks within the enterprise resource planning (ERP) system such as checking inventory levels or production schedules.

"We are honored to accept this recognition with Epicor,” said Eddie Amos, general manager of worldwide partner evangelism at Microsoft Corp. “For nearly two decades, Epicor has demonstrated it’s commitment to the Microsoft platform, unlocking its potential and building innovative solutions using the latest Microsoft technology."

“Achieving this award recognition along side Microsoft is truly an honor,” said John Hiraoka, senior vice president and chief marketing officer for Epicor. “This award further validates our success in delivering innovative service-oriented enterprise business solutions that take advantage of Microsoft technologies to provide a seamless Microsoft Office-to Epicor experience—solutions independently and collectively, that have a powerful market impact in technology innovation and solving customers’ needs.”
