JARING SPONSORS MALAYSIA’S FIRST ONLINE REALITY SHOW

KUALA LUMPUR, July 2 – In efforts to promote human capital development, JARING Communications Sdn Bhd is sponsoring Malaysia’s first online reality show to discover young talent from local universities and colleges.

Dubbed D’Graduate, 10 groups of undergraduates will compete in elimination style competition broadcasting live online for 24 hours, with the ultimate champion winning attractive prizes including a 6 month contract with selected organizations as a management trainee.

Season one of the reality show will feature final year students of Universiti Utara Malaysia (UUM), Sintok, Kedah before moving on to other local universities for the coming seasons.

As the official technology partner, JARING will provide all the technology support to ensure the show runs smoothly and the audience have a trouble-free voting process to select their favorite candidate, broadcasted live at www.dgraduate.com.

“The key reward for the participants will be the exposure to the corporate environment and the learning process to gain hands-on working experiences. Their self-esteem gained through this competition will enhance their career opportunity in the desired industry,” said Dr Mohamed bin Awang Lah, Chief Executive Officer, JARING Communications Sdn Bhd.

“We are happy to be associated with this project because it is the first of its kind and we want to equip potential young talents with the right knowledge and skills so they are able to work across all the industries we deal with”, he added.
During the six-day challenge, candidates will not only be tested as individuals but also as a team in a series of tasks dealing with different disciplines in business. The elimination process will be via online voting where the public can vote for their preferred candidates at the D-graduate website.

The online reality show is organized by MyPath Sdn Bhd, a home grown human capital development company based in Penang that provides career-seekers a base career development and community platform according to current employment needs.

The show will be officially launched on July 8, 2008 at UUM Sintok, Kedah.

（吉隆坡２日讯）JARING Communications Sdn Bhd为推广人力资源发展，将赞助大马首项网上真人秀节目，以发掘本地大学生与学院生的才华。

10组大学生将参与这项名为D’Graduate的现场24小时及网上直播淘汰赛，最终胜利者将赢取丰富奖品，包括与指定公司６个月合约，或中选及出任实习管理员。

第一季的真人秀节目择定于吉打州Sintok的马来西亚北方大学 (Universiti Utara Malaysia, UUM) ，公开给最后一年级学生参与。接下来比赛则将移师到其他大学举行。

在长达6 天的挑战中，参赛者将接受个人和团队的挑战，包括完成在各相关行业的任务。公众可以透过D-graduate网页，进行网上投票，投选心目中的参赛者。　

网上真人秀是由总部设在槟城的人力发展资源公司MyPath Sdn Bhd所举办，按照职场需求提供找工者一个发展事业平台。

这项真人秀将于2008年 7月 8日在吉打的Sintok的马来西亚北方大学举行。
