JF Technology’s CEO Foong Wei Kuong Awarded Most Promising Entrepreneur in Malaysia

MALAYSIA, 29 July 2008 – JF Technology’s CEO Foong Wei Kuong has added another feather to his cap when he garnered a prestigious recognition as the Most Promising Entrepreneur at the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards (APEA) 2008. Enterprise Asia is a non-governmental organization in pursuit of entrepreneurship development across the Asia Pacific region. The Most Promising Entrepreneur Award is presented to entrepreneurs who have displayed outstanding accomplishments in the past and present as well as have the vision and plans to lead their companies to be leading businesses in the near future. Foong emerged as one of the 36 winners of the Asia Pacific Entrepreneurship Awards amidst a strong field of 637 nominees. “I am humbled by this award but at the same time elated for the hard work and efforts that have carried me through thus far. This award would not have been possible without the support of my family as well as dedication of my esteemed colleagues at JF Technology Berhad,” said Foong.

As the founder of JF Technology, Foong has steered the company through trials and tribulations. With relentless pursuit of excellence and sharp business acumen, Foong laid the foundation for JF Technology to be developed into one of the leading manufacturer of customized test probes in Malaysia. The corporate journey reached its pinnacle when JF Technology Berhad was listed on the MESDAQ of Bursa Malaysia in April this year.

Foong’s triumph as Most Promising Entrepreneur at APEA 2008 has not only given him regional recognition in outstanding entrepreneurship achievement but also the honour of being a responsible entrepreneur. APEA acknowledges enterprising men and women who have proven their enterprising spirit whilst not neglecting the social responsibilities that come with business leadership with their prestigious awards. APEA’s aim is to enhance awareness of the importance of entrepreneurship amongst the general public and in turn, stimulate the growth of local and regional brands and enterprises both locally and regionally.
