Canon’s imagePRESS C6000, a smart investment for digital colour printing solution

KUALA LUMPUR, 25th AUGUST 2008 – Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, a global leader in photographic and digital imaging solutions, today announced the release of its latest colour printing press system, the imagePRESS C6000, a high quality colour printing solution for corporate print room and digital print operators.

The machine is a solid mark of Canon’s engineering excellence for digital colour printing system. “C6000 reflects our commitment to enable business of all sizes to capitalize on our years of intensive R&D in digital color imaging and document reproduction,” said Mr. Richard Yeow, Senior Director and General Manager of Business Imaging Solution Division of Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd. The versatile imagePRESS C6000 produces output that rivals offset quality, maintains superior color consistency, and empowers businesses to fulfill a wide range of jobs, including saddle-stitched booklets, hard-copy reproductions, direct mail pieces, and marketing collateral.

Print Size, Quality & Speed
The imagePRESS C6000 is capable of printing images up to 1200 x 1200 dots-per-inch (DPI) and 256 levels of grayscale. The machine reproduces clear, sharp images with lifelike skin tones, smooth gradients and color accuracy for a range of printed materials.

The imagePRESS C6000 offers engine speed of 60 A4-sized pages-per-minute (ppm) and allows printing up to the size of 13” x 19”.

Marking innovation
To complement the new addition, Canon has also introduced several new print controllers, which are designed to help print providers achieve greater color control, superior images and quality versatility in both Windows and MAC environments.

The new introductions are imagePRESS Server A3100, Canon’s most powerful front-end for high speed processing of complex jobs and the A2100 that meets the needs of mid-level production environments.

Also with the presence of the imagePRESS A1100, which is an entry level Fiery based server designed specifically for the C6000, operators are assured of providing one of the best values in the market.

Canon Perfect Binder
To enhance the operations of the C6000 and create opportunities for additional revenue, Canon has introduced the Canon Perfect Binder. Designed specifically for the imagePRESS digital press range, the Perfect Binder offers a simple in-line operation system for any print provider to achieve high quality books with little operator intervention. Also, when used with imageWARE Prepress Manager which is a print workflow software solution which offers cover creation, imposition and document layout.
