MALAYSIA – October 14, 2008 -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ: JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced the Juniper Networks WXC application acceleration platform has won a Computerworld Malaysia “Readers' Choice Award" in the WAN Accelerators category.

Juniper representatives accepted the award last night at the 2008 Computerworld Readers' Choice Awards ceremony dinner in Kuala Lumpur. Juniper's WXC application acceleration platforms provide distributed enterprises with a scalable approach to accelerating the delivery of client/server and web-based business applications and services – including ERP, CRM, email and file services as well as voice, video and terminal services - over the WAN.

Juniper's WXC platform improves application performance over the WAN by recognizing and eliminating redundant transmissions; accelerating TCP and application-specific protocols; prioritizing and allocating access to bandwidth; and ensuring high application availability at sites with multiple WAN links. The WXC platforms also include a broad set of management tools for monitoring and reporting on WAN and application performance.

"We're gratified that the Malaysia networking community has recognized the merits of our WXC platforms," said Wan Ahmad Kamal, Country Manager, Juniper Networks Malaysia. "Boosting WAN performance is an increasingly high priority for the island state's enterprises as they extend their footprint across the region and around the world. This ultimately helps our customers improve productivity and reduce costs."
