Xperia X1 All Set For Malaysian Market

Kuala Lumpur, 18 November 2008 - Sony Ericsson will officially launch the much anticipated Xperia X1 in the Malaysian market this Saturday, 22 November which will be officiated at the 1 Utama Concourse (New wing) at 12.00pm.

As part of the launch event this Saturday, Sony Ericsson will be offering attractive discounts on the X1 for the first 50 customers. The first five customers will receive a RM1500 discount on the X1. Subsequently, the 6th to 10th customer will receive a RM1000 discount, the 11th to 15th customers will receive a RM750 discount, the 16th to 30th customer will receive a RM500 discount and the next 20 customers thereafter will receive a RM250 discount.

In addition, consumers who wish to have the privilege of being the first few in the country to own the X1 can log on to www.bethefirstx1.com to pre-order their X1 and have it in their hands before the official launch.

Among a host of other cutting-edge features, the X1 features an industry-first unique arc slider design with quality metal finish. Powered by Windows Mobile® Operating System, the X1 also features unique and customizable XPERIA™ panels that offer the user the power and simplicity of having multiple desktops in a single device. Users will also be able to enjoy DVD quality multimedia playback, e-mail, a full HTML browser, aGPS capabilities, a 3.2 megapixel AF camera, special illumination and animation effects, multiple input and navigation including a full QWERTY keypad and a 3.0 WVGA 65k colour TFT touch display.
