PC Fair 2011 celebrate festive holiday

More than 200,000 shoppers expected at PC Fair 2011 this week, December 2 – 4, 2011 at KL Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Batu Pahat Mall in Batu Pahat and Village Mall in Sg. Petani

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 30, 2011, KUALA LUMPUR – The year-end PC Fair 2011 finishes this week with a bang, celebrating the upcoming festive holiday with lots of exciting activities. The sixth and final leg of the Fair will be held December 2 to 4 at KL Convention Centre in Kuala Lumpur, Batu Pahat Mall in Batu Pahat and Village Mall in Sg. Petani.

According PIKOM president Shaifubahrim Saleh, visitors to the Fair can look forward to numerous festive bargains and offers, activities and rewards. About 250 participating exhibitors in more than 600 booths will be present, making the Fair this weekend one of the largest and most comprehensive consumer Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Fair this year. “With the current year-end school holidays and upcoming festive celebration, we expect more than 200,000 shoppers at the Fair this weekend.” The Fair, which started last month, has been held in 11 locations spanning five legs and successfully hosted more than 600,000 shoppers.

He said shoppers this festive season appear to be browsing more for offers and promotional deals related to tablets, digital video camcorders, accessories for tablets, smartphones, super-thin notebooks, digital cameras, touch-screen monitors, online games, storage solutions and wireless broadband packages. “Shoppers are clearly going to be excited by the volume and variety of festive bargains and promotional offers at the Fair this week,” he said.

The Fair in Kuala Lumpur will host several activities like “AMD, Gaming Evolved Challenge”, “Intel PC Guru”, PC Fair 2011 Redemption Program and more. Interestingly, the “AMD, Gaming Evolved Challenge” will impart tips and knowledge to visitors specifically in overclocking techniques, PC modding and graphics cards. “There’s a redemption counter, do-it-yourself gaming area and showcases of AMD-powered notebook and desktop PCs with mini-games for visitors to enjoy a hands-on experience.”

In addition as an added convenience, there’s a complimentary shuttle service between KL Convention Centre and PIKOM ICT Mall Capsquare, about 15 minutes away. “The shuttle service operates from 11.00am to 8.45pm. It ferries visitors who wish to explore PIKOM ICT Mall Capsquare, which is an exciting and new consumer ICT shopping destination in Malaysia. The route for this service is from the main entrance of KL Convention Centre, Jalan Pinang to PIKOM ICT Mall CapSquare at Jalan Munshi Abdullah.” He added visitors to PIKOM ICT Mall Capsquare can participate in contests to redeem gifts like TGV Movie Tickets and a chance to win PC Fair 2011 grand draw prize of a RM100,000 Mazda2 1.5 (Special Edition) Hatch Back. - PIKOM
