Canon releases a new portable LCD multimedia projector that can meet all the presentation needs of business and academic users alike.

KUALA LUMPUR, XX 2012 – Canon, a leader in Digital Imaging, reinforces its position in the portable LCD multimedia projector market with the release of the LV-8320. “The competitively-priced projector has all the power, convenient features and long-lasting stamina to suit all kinds of users who need to make frequent presentations whether you’re in a poorly lighted conference room or classroom,” said Mr. Donny Ling, Director of Consumer System Products Division, Canon Marketing Malaysia Sdn Bhd.

Power and convenience
The LV-8320 projects images at a high 1280 x 800 WXGA resolution, making it compatible with modern wide-screen laptops, and ensuring correct aspect ratios without any resolution adjustments. Images are projected at 3000 lumens, resulting in bright and vivid images even in classrooms and conference rooms that lack controlled lighting. A built-in 10W speaker allows users to project their voices with wired microphones, even in rooms that aren't equipped with audio equipment. To ensure maximum compatibility with most computers and AV sources, the LV-8320 not only supports all the widely-used analog signals, but also high quality S-video and HDMI signals too. This means it can be connected to laptops, digital cameras, and even Blu-ray players.

A multitude of automated features makes the LV-8320 easy to set up at presentations. Auto Input Search automatically identifies what a user plugs into the projector, and Auto Keystone Correction detects the tilting of the projector and corrects the keystone for distortion-free images.

Lasting lifespan
Besides ease-of-use and versatile power, the LV-8320 is also designed to work for long periods without the need for maintenance; an often-overlooked trait. The long-life lamp lasts for 5,000 hours in Eco mode, and the air filter lasts for 5,500 hours.

The Intelligent Lamp Dimming System adjusts the lamp output to suit the brightness of the image projected, reducing power consumption by a significant 69%. At the same time, the system also shifts the color to maintain the color balance during lamp dimming, ensuring the image is projected in a natural tone.

The low power consumption and long lifespan combines to increase the projector’s efficiency, and reduced maintenance also increase its usefulness as a portable projector.

The LV-8320 multimedia projector is available in stores now at the recommended retail price of RM4, 688.
