CANON'S NEW PIXMA INK EFFICIENT E600 OFFICE ALL-IN-ONE PRINTER INCREASES PRODUCTIVITY BY REDUCING THE WORKLOAD NEEDED TO RUN A HOME OFFICE

KUALA LUMPUR, 9 April 2012 – Running a home office is tough enough without the added frustration of maintaining a printer. Canon, a leader in printer technology, seeks to eliminate the hassles of operating a home office printer with the release of the PIXMA Ink Efficient E600, a home office All-In-One version of the popular PIXMA Ink Efficient E500 All-In-One photo printer, with added faxing capabilities, fax security and integrated Auto Document Feeder (ADF).

“Where the PIXMA E600 differs from the PIXMA E500 is the added ability to send faxes; a necessary trait for home office printers. In order to protect a user from accidentally faxing confidential documents, an optional feature has been included. Fax security requires users to enter the fax number a second time, just before a fax transmission. If the number does not match the originally entered number, the PIXMA E600 will cancel the fax and require the user to confirm the fax number,” said Mr. Donny Ling, Director of Consumer System Products Division, Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd.A key time-saving feature of the PIXMA E600 is the fully-integrated ADF. The ADF holds up to 30 sheets of documents at a time, allowing users to automate tasks like high-volume copying and scanning. With the ADF's help, users can save time and concentrate their attention on other tasks.

Ink cartridges tend to run out at the most inopportune times, frustrating users and requiring them to change ink cartridges in the middle of a large print job. To counter this, PIXMA E600 makes use of a dedicated high-capacity black ink cartridge that can print up to 800 pages per refill. This drastically reduces the amount of times a user has to replace PIXMA E600’s ink cartridge for the same amount of work.
Many printers require users to lift the heavy scanning unit and reach deep into the printer in order to change the ink cartridge. The process has become significantly easier thanks to the incorporated Fast Front design concept. The PIXMA E600 sidesteps this hassle by relocating the ink cartridge to the front of the printer. Users simply have to open a front panel to reach the ink tank. Similarly, blank paper is now loaded through the front panel, instead of a paper feed situated at the rear of the printer.

As with the PIXMA E500, the PIXMA E600 uses FINE (Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering) technology to create microscopic ink droplets as small as 2pl to print high quality images and photos. FINE is further enhanced by a Hybrid system that integrates both Dye colour, which creates beautiful colour gradations, and Pigment black, capable of printing sharp lettering. The combined use of these means the PIXMA E600 is able to print top quality photographs and documents.

ChromaLife100 is a system that combines the FINE high precision print head, Canon dye ink and Canon genuine photo paper to deliver beautiful and long-lasting photos that will last up to 100 years under proper storage conditions. Photographs printed with this system have richer colours that are more resistant to light exposure, gases, humidity and temperature to preserve their beauty.

Easy Web-print EX is an included piece of software that, as its name suggests, makes it easier to print content from the Internet. With Easy Web-print EX, users can easily print the main content of a webpage with a single click, without including any unwanted menu bars. Users can also clip and compile information from different web pages, and then compile them neatly into a single printed page – simultaneously saving paper and placing all important content together. Another function is the ability to print in large text, making documents easier to read.

The PIXMA E600 is available from March 2012 onwards at the recommended retail price of RM598.
