MAXIS DOUBLES DATA QUOTA FOR MAXIS HOME WIRELESS INTERNET CUSTOMERS

Maxis Berhad (Maxis), Malaysia's leading integrated communications service provider recently introduced its exciting new Maxis Home Wireless Internet plans offering more value for money with more data in line with the growing needs of heavy wireless data users. The improved plans offer customers double the quota with a total of up to 48GB for no additional monthly fees.

Ebru Dorman, Head of Maxis Home said, “We are pleased to offer our customers these enhanced plans delivering greater peace of mind while downloading during off-peak hours. With the substantially increased off-peak hour quotas, customers can do more downloads, streaming, uploading videos, and more without worrying about exceeding their quota.

Peak hours refer to the period between 8.00 a.m. and 2.00 a.m. while off-peak hours are between 2.00 a.m. and 8.00 a.m. By offering double the data quotas, Maxis is increasing the overall data usage allowance for its customers and enabling them to do more on their Home Wireless Internet connection.

The Maxis Home Wireless Internet plans include the 4GB plan at RM59 per month, the 20GB plan at RM99 per month and the 48GB plan at RM169 per month. From 1 July 2012 onwards, existing Home Wireless Internet customers will be automatically upgraded to enjoy the additional quota starting from their next bill cycle, without any extra charges.

Maxis’ Home Wireless Internet is available nationwide as part of its Home Services which provide high speed internet services for customers to enjoy on their laptops, tablets and smartphones. With its Fibre Internet service, currently available to 1.2 million homes and offices and its fixed and on-the-go Wireless Internet service with 82% population coverage, Maxis is offering reliable and fast internet to nearly 6 million homes in Malaysia. Both services come bundled with fixed line telephony including free allocated minutes to fixed and mobile numbers.
